@dex  They used a super sonic cleaner  that went deep under the gum line  and actually cut a portion of my gum. They gave me novicane   for  the cutting. I was offered it for the  sonic cleaning, but  did not want to be all numb, so I went without.   I do have a strong pain tolerance from all the pain I live with with my arthritis I guess.

@SeaMaiden Wow you are strong.I had the sonic but mostly a hand tool that went deep in to the roots to scrape them.I white knuckled the whole time and I am sure I lost a few pounds from tension.
