It's delish. I took the cholestacare (sp?) so why not combine it with chocolate-makes sense to me. I always had chocolate in the freezer for a square after meals. Organic dark chocolate is expensive. This makes it easy. I love it. Hope it helps me. Someone said dark chocolate has been disproved as to being healthy. You should tell Mercola that.

We love it!

This is one I will not have to twist DH's arm for him to take.

.

Mercola has some way-out-there opinions, and some valid ones. I read some of his views.  Notice my key word with Mercola? some

Dark chocolate has always been my favoriate and this is delicious.  Andrew is right, it has the deep, rich flavor of a dark chocolate, but the smooth creaminess of a milk chocolate.

I had been taking his CholestaCare but had run out.  I think I will just take this instead.  My husband and I both eat one square each after lunch and after dinner.

Love that is is 70%, think that is the perfect amount of cocoa, not to sweet and not too bitter.

My total cholesterol is fine, but I'd like it to be lower.  My doctor is very happy with my numbers. My HDL's were 96 this year!  About 21 days before my bloodwork in September, I started taking CholesteCare just as an experiment to see if it would lower my total.  Just after 21 days on the CholesteCare, my total number was six points lower (I wasn't as disciplined as I'd hoped to take it along with a meal).  So, for me, AL's plant sterols worked.

I bought the 300 count size of ChocoNuvo and love it. I'm glad that I ordered the large size and the sugar is fine with me since I don't consume much in the first place.  Since this has the plant sterols in each square, it a win-win product and I will reorder it when he has another special.

@SANNA  Have you taken Tumeric before?  I ordered it for the first time, yesterday.  Can you tell me the benefits you've seen?  Thanks.

I  am on my  second bottle now. I cannot tell you any distinctive noticeable results because I take several supplements at a time. But I know that is good for us, for boosting antiinflammatory functions of our bodies,so I take it and have my DH take it.

Lets say I take it for general well being.

Enjoy. Let us know how you like it.

@Trudey, I have been taking Andrew's Turmeric & Ginger supplements since March. Andrew made it available as part of a TS bundle with Glucosamine/Chondroitin in January. Generally, I start taking his supplements as soon as I purchase them, but it was a bit of a hectic winter.

Well, I broke my wrist at the end of February (black ice was the culprit) and wound up having wrist surgery in March. -- I was in a fair amount of pain for the next few months because I was doing constant hand exercises to maintain full flexibility of my wrist (per my doctor's suggestion). Early on, it took me so long to complete one set of exercises that I was literally doing wrist exercises throughout the day.

I just had some over the counter Rx (tylenol, or one of the other ones) for the pain. So I was using Omega-3 (from fish oil) and ginger (in my Vitamix green smoothies) for pain relief. After about two weeks of this, I remembered that I had the tumeric/ginger supplements and I added them to my regime.

While I was still in pain the addition of the turmeric/ginger supplements reduced the pain enough to allow me to continue my exercises. Each capsule had 200mg. of turmeric and 200mg of ginger. Two capsules a day worked for me.

A few days after I started taking the capsules, I noticed that my "brain fog" which I have had for probably 3-5 years just started going away. While I wouldn't say it is completely gone, I'd say that it is 80% to 90% gone.

I take several supplements which have different positive effects on the brain, and now I've added turmeric to my arsenal.

These supplements won't make you smarter or make Altzheimer's go away -- as some disreputable companies will advertise -- but they do help with brain function. Each of them tends to work in it's own subtle and unique way. A lot of times it's hard to describe how these supplements work, but they can be really helpful.

FYI, epidemiological studies (studies of specific ethnic groups of people), have shown that populations in India have the lowest levels of Altzheimer's in the world. Clearly there is a connection here, which is another reason to add turmeric supplements to your diet... but it's not a foolproof solution. Indian populations consume a much greater amount of turmeric by way of their marinated curry dishes.

But these in order for the turmeric to become bioavailable, the turmeric needs to marinate in these sauces for hours at a time. -- Simply adding raw turmeric to a Vitamix green smoothie is not effective because the body can't absorb it that way.

Just make sure that you go through a really reputable supplement company (like Procaps Labs) because otherwise, you may not benefit from the supplement... because many supplement companies don't use top quality ingredients.

@bebe777. Thank you for your response.  I'm so glad you are feeling better and I hope this winter is better for you.  I did receive the Tumeric, Antioxidant Extracts and Calcium with Magnesium from Andrew Lessman.  I started taking them on Saturday and can already see a difference in the swelling in my hands and feet.  I also seem to be sleeping better.  Hopefully, the improvements will continue.

@Trudey, thank you for your kind words and, at this point, I'm pretty well mended up. Smiley Happy

From my perspective, Andrew's supplements  are in a class by themselves.

I'm so glad that you are already seeing positive results. That's what really matters!!! Smiley Happy

I have to do the math between my Endangered Species 88% chocolate and the cholestacare to see if the 91% ends up being a value for me.

I really like Endangered Species.  I need 85% or higher.
