Has anyone tried his eye support supplements, if so, what is your opinion or what eye support supplements would you recommend? I have been taking Ocuvite Eye Vitamins over 50+ my optometrist said they're okay but I am not getting the full benefits from them and offered their own brand of vitamins which I thought was somewhat costly and said I would get back to her. TIA.

I've taken the Lessman Ultimate Eye for years. Honestly I don't know if the supplement has benefitted in any way. My vision is what it is - fine with glasses, early-mid-stage cataracts in both. Last year the doctor said she saw some macular change but she said it doesn't look like macular degeneration (which both parents had) and it's nothing I have to worry about at the moment. I also take Essential 1 and the Omega-3 supplements. And eat dark leafy greens on a regular basis.

And offhand I'd question the ethics of a doctor recommending his/her own supplements over another brand. Ocuvite is respected.

I've been taking Ultimate Eye Support for years. I've lost count how many. I honestly can't say whether I'm better off with them, or if I'd be worse off without them. I did develop cataracts and macular degeneration since I began taking them, but I don't blame them for causing it.
My father had macular degeneration and took Ocuvite. He lived until 89 and didn't go blind. There's no way to prove whether or not the Ocuvite helped.

@Thats Me I don't belive there is anything unethical about offering office branded medical items. My Dermatologist and GI docs offer their office branded items. Ophthalmologists and Chiropractors do this too.
For those selecting Eye Support Supplements, search AREDS 2.
These are the guidelines from The National Eye Institute.

She wasn't pushing their vitamins she just made a suggestion and gave me a pamphlet to look at (I was not really interested in joining their program that they offered) and told her I would review and get back to her, she said no problem.

My optometrist suggested that I eat more dark leafy vegetables too, I have early stages of cataracts in both eyes since my last eye exam this past Feb, she said nothing to be alarmed about now.

My diet is definitely lacking in the vegetable department.

I am not a fan of kale, but do love spinach and do eat it quite often😊

I've had cataracts removed and have the early stages of maculari degeneration. My othomologist recommends Presser Vision Areds2. I've been taking it for 6 or 7 years, and so far, it's kept my MD from progressing. I think it has replaced Ocuvite for many people.
