I may have missed it, but did he ever say that you can use this product AND take a statin at the same time?  I have read MANY of the reviews and no one mentions taking this along with a statin.  I take Simvastatin 10mg.

Re: Andrew Lessman ChocoNuvo

ChocoNuvo is not a drug.  You can eat it any time you wish with any thing you want to.

It is not medicinal.  It's supposed to help lower cholesterol, the same as oatmeal.

Enjoy.  It is delicious.

I take a Statin and have no food restrictions other than not eating grapefruit in the same time period.

I believe the cholestacare in Choconuvo is plant sterols. You can always chat with his reps directly for clarification on his Procaps Lab website. They are super helpful and knowledgable when I had a question about his probiotics.

Re: Andrew Lessman ChocoNuvo

I would think if you take a Statin with Choconuvo you could take a lower dose of your Statin.

From what I understand plant sterols affect your LDL but not your HDL or triglycerides?

Re: Andrew Lessman ChocoNuvo

Ugh!   Just got my ChocoNuvo and they are all  melted.   It's unusually still hot here and I'm sure they've been sitting in the UPS truck for hours.

HSN will reorder, supposed to be 20 degrees cooler here next week.  Maybe Andrew should wait another month before sending these out.  I know it's hot where I'm at and in S. California and Nevada too right now.

Has anyone had theirs melt and were able to revive them?   Mine are liquid in the little packets.

Re: Andrew Lessman ChocoNuvo

Mine were soft on one order but I kept them and certainly ate them.  I called ProCaps to ask and they said the ingredients were not spoiled.  I couldn't care less what they look like so it was fine.  I just ordered the last TS and it's also hot here so I may get a new batch of softies.  I'll keep them.

Re: Andrew Lessman ChocoNuvo

I just did the Chat feature on the ProCaps Labs website (Andrew's website).  I asked the question again and this was the response:

Yes, they are safe and effective and are not affected in that condition. You can put them in the refrigerator if you would like or just store them in a cool, dry place.

Thanks everyone.  I also called them and they said the same thing about putting them in the fridge.   I did, and they are starting to get hard again.   Mine were liquid.  I guess it's still hot most places.   Glad we can still use them, they are expensive.  Maybe October is still too soon to send those out.

It is not wise to tamper with your RX drug program without medical advise from your doctor.

Lowering the dose of a statin drug because you're now eating dark chocolate could cause harm....always check with the doctor.
