I use Flonase but it takes weeks for it to kick in and really work.  I tried it many years ago and didn't understand why it was doing nothing for me until I decided to give it another try last year.  My allergies have me sneezing a lot but taking Flonase seems to help quite a bit!

aha! Here I sit, having just startd flonase about two weeks ago, wondering why my nose continues run day and night. Plus sneezing. I didnt realize that it takes that long to be effective. I will need to be patient!

I cant wait for the sticky yellow pollen to dissipate. It covers everything, blows into the lanai, settles on the porch furniture, everything. In a few weeks I'll hose it all down with soapy water.

My primary care doctor told me to take flonese and zyrtec in the AM and allegra in the evening. I take the Sams Club generics. I have been taking this combinatioin for around 8 years and it's the only thing I have ever used where it actually works. I don't get the sneezing or watering eyes. My sinuse just swell up to where my eyes are swelled up. It hurts like a mother.

I caution those over 65 about taking benedryl. I am in my 70s. My neurologist told me never to take benedryl. It reacts differently in the elderly and can be very dangerous.
