Hi everyone. I know this is controversial, so for those of you who are totally against hormone therapy, please don't jump on me.
Since I've been about 50 I've taken HRT, Estrace and Provera. I get a yearly Pap, mammogram, and have had 2 endometrial biopsies .... no history in my family of any gynecological problems. Well, my doctor changed me to Activella about 2 years ago, which is a combined one .... to the lowest dose possible, to start to wean me off of them. This year I have dropped 2 days when I don't take any, and I will slowly be reducing it to 0.
I am starting to get headaches again - migraine type, but not quite as severe. They are really annoying and interfering with my enjoyment of life. I have an appt. this morning - not with a doctor - and I just took 3 Advil - to counter the headache ..... didn't work. Nothing seems to work. It just goes on for the 3 days (like my migraines used to do) and then it's gone, but only for a few days and then it's back again. Any input any of you would have would be great. I'm 67.
Thanks much,
abby
