@Tissyanne wrote:@icezeus , use fat-free milk because the fat in milk can aggravate GERD.
Thank you for the Tip.

Hi ladies and fellow Acid Reflux suffers!
I have developed this "silent" type over the years...gives me the chest and esophagus spams. It was so bad last year I first was put on the standard PPI's didn't help so finally my doctor was able to get my insurance approved to try the new med for this erosion of the esophagus called Voquezna. I am took the 20mg for 3 months then onto the 10mg. Have gone off 1 time and 3wks later I had a "attack" again. Back on it for a few weeks then every other day for awhile.
I too have done lifestyle changes but I never ate spicy foods, drink zero alcohol ever, and stopped having my homemade Italian dressing. Stopped coffee for 6mo's and finally can have 1 cup per day now.
I have eaten zero fat greek yogurt for decades now BUT I have it in the morning for my breakfast.
How much are you ladies eating? and how long after dinner and before bedtime?? I am confused as it sure hasn't done anything for me eating it in the morning.

PLEASE do not ignore symptoms. I did & finally went to see my Gastro Doc. who did an Endoscopy & found an Ulcer. Not fun but now I take meds & changed my diet & feeling much better. But do NOT try to diagnose yourself...get help!

@gaga some may cofuse a Endoscopy with a Colonoscopy when reading medical terms. Your comment ""not fun" might further this confusion. After my Roux--n-Y surgery I have had numerous Endoscopy procedures. No unpleasant preparation and a sleep through procedure.

@Tissyanne Yes he took those meds. His doctor was very remiss in my opinion. When a patient has a chronic aikmebt I think it's time to look into it further. It was his wife so was jnstrunevtakmin his changing docs which dud do more diagnostics avd they fiubdvtge cause but in his case it was too late

@Teddixat wrote:@mrshckynut it was the endoscopy that found the cancer
@Teddixat I meant prior to the cancer diagnosis. An Endoscopy for many finds the polyps or Barretts Esophagus before they become cancerous. After reading your other posts, I am wondering why his primary doctor wouldn't order an Endoscopy instead trying different medications that didn't seem to work. Sad
