Who is taking this and at what dose?  Also, what brand?

Have you noticed any difference in vision or in sun protection while taking this?

One last question, do you give this to your dog?

TIA

I take Andrew Lessman's version (ProCaps Labs) and I can't say I see a difference, but I am taking it as preventative, not to correct anything.

So far, I've been good at all my eye doctor appointments for the past several years. No issues.

Been taking 5 mg daily for many years, usually buy on Vitacost, their own brand in liquid capsules. dont notice or feel any differences, just know it is a good antioxidant. Have no dogs

It is a supplement that is good for your eyes.  Google it and read the benefits.  It sounds almost too good to be true, @I am still oxox , lol.

My eyes are still very dry using it for many years, I also take Sea Buckthorn Oil caps for that too, very good for dryness inside and outside of body.

@tends2dogs - my DH and I take it. Ours is from Carlyle Nutritionals.   I'm sorry I can't specifically make any attribution exclusively to astaxthanin as we take other supplements as well.  I've settled on a dosage of 8 mg. daily as being sufficient.  The bottle says to take 3 softgels but that's for 12 mg., so we just take 2.

Hi,

I take Astaxanthin 12 mg daily. I buy Vitacost brand from Amazon.

Also take Zeaxanthin/Lutein 25/5 mg.

My eye doc recommended both to prevent or delay macular degeneration. I don't notice any difference, but my vision is too important to take any chances. I had cataract surgery, so my eyes are sensitive to sunlight.

Hope this helps!

I also take Lutein 40 mg daily.

Vitacost has the best prices right on their own site, often BOGO's. and double coupon code offers. free ship over $25 on their own brand
