I would'nt have too much faith in an online test for ADHD. All of us have days when we're not our best. A diagnosis takes close obs and thorough history to make a solid determination.

We have to look at how we're feeling when we take tests. All of us have different sides show up, with different causal factors. Something pushes a button leading to feeling anxious, or maybe we haven't been sleeping well leading to poor concentration, and so on.

I can remember my early days when all through school years, I never knew anyone with an ADHD diagnosis. Nor did any of my classmates exhibit notable hyperactivity. Then in my medical field, starting in 1976, it was rare to see the diagnosis of ADHD, too.

Now we see very active children started on medication. I've seen some where I question the diagnosis, others more clear. But, I'm left to wonder -- why are we seeing more battling this condition?

I think it's caused by what's in the food we eat.

The doctor told my nephews kids not to eat anything with red dye. There are some other things they were told not to eat. It was making one grand niece hyper, aggressive etc.

Then Big Pharma can influence  one into thinking they need some type of pharmaceutical  for their issue

@CherryHugs I don't know if you're joking or not but an online test is no kind of a diganosis of anything.

Thanks everyone..I know its not a real or good thing ( an online test ) but was just curious how it would turn out. I do feel I have it. But I wont see a Dr for it...since I would not take meds or anything. I am hyper alot of the time and find it hard to stay still or to relax, concentrate, focus etc.

Sorry to come back in here on the discussion but you may want to have a talk with your doc and have some tests.

It's not always a cookie cutter diagnosis and sounds like you already have your mind made up not taking drugs anyway so you're set there.

Having a conversation and blood tests could really help you and then you won't have to think or worry about it.

Youodt me at online test.  It's ridiculous to think some silly online "test" can definitively diagnose anyone with ADHD.  Mental health professionals use tests ALONG WITH a very detailed evaluation, a review of the patients medical record and educational record.  DS Sometimes discussions with family members.  It takes time to arrive at a diagnosis.  It sounds like you wanted to add ADHD to your collection of self diagnosed conditions.

I never knew what I had was PTSD until it started making the news this century.  I was almost killed in a situation in grade school.

I was reading an article about Jackie Kennedy some maybe 15 years ago and what she felt that was PTSD, and I knew instantly that feeling of panic for no reason in certain situations.

And that if you are uncomfortable or fearful or stressed that your fear can ramp up suddenly to that remembered level where it started.

I had pretty well acclimated myself and am able to mostly get around it, but it explained why some things were difficult for me all my life.
