I probably have had it too...however I don't have the "H" part.  I was never hyperactive.

I was never tested but I do think I may have a slight case.

The only time I can sit for hours is when I am either sewing, quilting or cross stitching.  Otherwise I will start something and lots of times other things call my name.

I never would have been able to work from home or be a home school parent.

@CherryHugs @haddon9 @CelticCrafter  Interesting 🙂!! I probably have some type of ADHD! I've always preferred sports to studying.  I got good grades in school and I'm a smart girl, but it can be hard for me to sit down and focus or read a book for a long time. I tried to do yoga or stretching and I got so restless in the poses and couldn't do it for even 10 minutes since I prefer to lift weights or dance around and do high intensity aerobics. If I'm cooking, doing artwork or exercising I feel a sense of calm come over me and I can do those things for hours without feeling too distracted or restless.  I'll research ADHD some more to see if I might have it.

LOL!  Not me!  I can sit and read a book all the live long day and need a kick in the pants to get out of my easy chair and do chores.  Calm, cool and collected.

I would'nt have too much faith in an online test for ADHD. All of us have days when we're not our best. A diagnosis takes close obs and thorough history to make a solid determination.

We have to look at how we're feeling when we take tests. All of us have different sides show up, with different causal factors. Something pushes a button leading to feeling anxious, or maybe we haven't been sleeping well leading to poor concentration, and so on.

I can remember my early days when all through school years, I never knew anyone with an ADHD diagnosis. Nor did any of my classmates exhibit notable hyperactivity. Then in my medical field, starting in 1976, it was rare to see the diagnosis of ADHD, too.

Now we see very active children started on medication. I've seen some where I question the diagnosis, others more clear. But, I'm left to wonder -- why are we seeing more battling this condition?

@CherryHugs

Sounds like this is very important to you and I understand completely.

Were you planning on talking to your doctor about this?  Online self diagnosis can be tricky in reliability.

So can doctors too lol but at least if you see one in person and you have faith in your doc that would be a good path for you.
