I know the game!  I went through a frightful (recent) two years where I told my self the scale didn't matter . . . and it showed.  If it hadn't happened before I might have continued on that path but thank golly something kicked in and I kicked my own butt in gear to change that.  I find things so much easier when the scale is not my nemesis.

I exercise moderately but I find how I eat to be the culprit.  Life requires activity, if you're able to move around, that is, and no amount of hard exercise will chase away the "junk", or too much of any thing.  Feed the machine what it wants, and it's an inferno on its own, in my experience.

I'm laughing right there with you though - I know it's hard!  That's why I laugh, to take the sting out!Smiley Tongue

It's annoying to me, because:

I don't eat any sweets - no cake, no pie, no cookies, no candy.

I don't eat a lot of food.

I eat a lot of salads.

I am hypothyroid, but I take synthroid for that.

I probably should exercise more, but I hate exercise.

I shudder to think how big I would be if I ate WHAT I WANTED to eat. Plus I am vegan and I don't eat pork or beef......it's not a matter of what I can eat, it's a matter of what I can't eat, which is basically everything.

I'm not "obese," but I do want to lose a few lbs.

It seems so unfair because I'm constantly depriving myself and I still need to lose weight! Woman Frustrated

Hypothyroid here, too (30 years diagnosed) - as I've gotten older the regularity (time) I take my meds really seems to make a bigger difference than it used to.  Seems to, anyway.  Sometimes, who the heck knows???

I have to keep my hands busy. Teaching myself to accept sitting still has helped me tremendously.  So has small portions of shredded wheat in a teacup.  I am apparently not gluten intolerant.  Just me, but it works.Smiley Happy

I asked my husband to buy a scale for me, and he did.

But now, I'm afraid to take it out of the box!
