I asked my husband to buy a scale for me, and he did.
But now, I'm afraid to take it out of the box!
LOL......(with the holidays coming up I probably need to set it back ten pounds.......) ![]()

My realization of this......I'm the only one who will see this number.
Secondly, it's the best way to keep a handle on you taking care of you. In my world, I know weight is important to keep control of for my own well-being, and for anyone in years to come who might need to help me along.
It's a cheap tool to do something as grand, as helping you take care of you! Do it now!
Good luck and good numbers.
Think health!!

That's for sure! With the holidays, I always gain. I say I am going to be more careful but I do it every year! I just enjoy the treats this time of years brings so much. But then I am upset with myself for my lack of willpower! I also dread going to my doctors as it's ---hop on the scale -- first thing. Like its something happy. Ha ---oh, goodie -- can I??? ![]()

I bought one a few months ago and like having a way to check my progress. My husband has access to an exercise room at work and he has a gym membership. He says his weight on those scales is the same as it is on our bathroom scale, so I've been thinking it's accurate. However, I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and the nurse recorded my weight to be 4 pounds heavier than my scale at home says I weigh. 🙄🙄🙄
I hate getting on the scale at the doctor's office. She even started to record my height as 2 1/2 inches shorter, but I told her to try again.

Huh! I was measured at shorter too. I didn't think I was, but it's been awhile now that I've had to throw the towel over the shower rod I think that one was right. But darn, that means I have to weigh even less now! Bummer.

@YorkieonmyPillow...my husband and I weigh in every monday morning, and then we write it on the calendar!!
He was ill a few years ago and it helped us keep track of his weight. His health is good now but we continue that weekly weigh in, it does help keep your weight in check.

Any scale is you use it no matter if they totally agree will tell you if your weight is up or down. So my best advice is to find the one you like, be loyal to it and you can be aware of changes.
I have three scales.. I judge my weight loss OR GAIN by the up or down direction of the numbers.
Just thinking back, I bought a scale in Aldi's for ten bucks. It is as good as my more expensive Thinner. And no they are a few pounds off from each other.

I would use a scale in combination with to taking your measurements in key areas with a measuring tape.
These two are key and while your weight may not change for a few weeks, your measurements may.
You may also want to take a picture of yourself either without any clothes or with a bathingsuit or something like that.
Do the picture, the measurements and the scale all at the same time and then do this weekly.
This saved me during a period of time on WW when my weight wasn't changing but my measurements were or I could see changes in my body. I would have given up otherwise.
You will have weeks when only one of these things changes.
