It's imperative that we have doctors we like and can relate to and who are responsive to us.  It's good that you are starting over again.  Twice in my life, I had to "fire" PCP's who just were not right for me.  We just were not in sync.

@Jo1313 --so glad  you reported her---I think people think they can't do such a thing and then don't. A misservice to us all--

I was trying to make an appt with a new cardi dr, once, after a super annoying and wasteful appt with my then dr--and you should have heard the office person I was speaking to, try to convince me he was a super dr and how much his patients loved him, including herself----she went on and on until I stopped her and told her that he WAS NOT a good fit for me and if she couldn't help me, I would like to speak to a different person about it---she ultimately shut up and switched me to a new dr. I should have reported this dr and the appt girl as well--but I didn't.

I don't take "guff" from anyone..even my kids new that at young ages..One kid's Mom told him to stay put..I was a few minutes late..We all watched out for each other's kids getting out of school..He was maybe 6..He said to her "you don't want to mess with my Mom do you"?? She had to turn away because she told me she wa laughing so hard.
