I'm sure there are legit sellers on eBay and Amazon, I just wouldn't know who they are. For that reason, I stick with Chaz Dean Studio and QVC.

Okay, so I just received a SCLV oil from eBay and noticed that the oil did not have that specific production date sequence on it but instead had "MFG. 04/2015". Frantically thinking it was a fake I checked out my SCLV 32 oz CC that I just received from the Q and it had the same thing, "MFG. 04/2015".

I then checked out my 1 oz oil SCLV from the Q and that also had the "MFG. 04/2015"

SO.... went to check my 4oz oil SHP that I ordered from Chaz's site last month and it has the older production date "140430", my 1 oz oil SHP & 16oz CC from last year states "140429".

I'm thinking that Chaz changed the exp date on the bottles. Just so everyone is aware there are 2 different expiration dates now. Older formulas have "YEARMONTHDATE", where as newer produced items will have "MFG. MONTH/YEAR". Both are authentic Wen.

Edited to add: my CA gallon from this year from the Q also has the new expiration date "03/20/2015"

Caitlin, thanks so much for sharing this information. I only buy through QVC or Chaz's salon, but a number of Wenners do go through the bay. With all the fakes, there seems to be a lot of vetting needed, so it's good to know that the expiration date formatiing on the bottome of the bottles has changed.

So CaitlinH, I'm curious.... Did you get a better price on Ebay than you could get with the SCLV being a featured price on QVC? Or maybe you purchased one of the 1 oz sizes? Sorry for being nosey but I'm just curious. Those 1oz sizes are so convenient for throughing in your bag, arent they?

Better price @40nu20 ! It is the full 4oz SCLV. I'm telling ya though it was tooth & nail until the last second, I kept getting outbid ! LOL I like to refill my 1oz and bring them in the shower as my shower space is limited.
