What is fake Wen? It's a product sold as Wen that isn't actually made by Wen. It could be a mix of anything. Chaz shared in the past they sent some suspect samples to be analyzed and they were not Wen.

The fakers are pretty good at trying to make the packaging look real. The bottles themselves are very easy to get and you can print up copies of the real product labels.

Other than the plastic wrap mentioned earlier I would not have known anything about the different products. I looked on the bay today, but felt too uncertain to take the risk. I'm glad I didn't because I never knew their was a code! I have zero criminal instincts so it didn't occur to me some of it would be totally fake.

Flea, the GR formulation is approved by Chaz.  The ingredients are different because they sell Wen internationally and have to comply with different regulations.  It's not an inferior product.

I love GR, despite their limited inventory.  I get a seasonal and two core CCs every 5 months, RM twice a year (love, love LOVE this stuff), and as many free samples as I want.

I just wish they sold oils.

I don't think I would buy CC on the bay anymore because sometimes the sellers are not aware there are 3-4 different WEN formulations. They will have several auctions up and send you whatever bottle. I had to get my. Only back from the seller. She had to refund it as she even had pictured the ingredients and the bottle I had was different ingredient-wise. On the other hand, the 1 oz oil botltles are terrific. I got 3 of POM for about $28. And 3 of SHP for maybe $32. I find GR SAM CC better for my hair than salon version. The Remoist works just the same, as does, volumizing and RTM.

I don't purchase from ebay often but have purchased the seasonal oils when they were out of season since this is the only way that I could have purchased them.   I sometimes look at what is for sale, but don't usually decide to purchase or bid on an item.  I also find that you can usually get better deals on QVC when they are OTO's or TSV's.

Well, the jury is still out.  I suppose its buyer beware.  I'm sure most sellers are reputable but I'm also certain that there are a few crooked ones out there as well.  The gunthy renker stuff is probably a ton of stuff people recieve on their auto delivery plans.  My friend just  signed up with gunthy renker and she already was sent a ton of stuff.  I'm also sure that some people go nuts buying from the Q and then sell what they dont need.  I can certainly see how that happens!  I'm glad many of you have found some good reputable buyers.  I read about a summer honey peach deal that was phenomenal.  Sorry to have missed that one.

I've made several purchases of Wen on ebay especially the oils fig and tea tree which either always sold out on the Q or they don' sell them on it's on and saved $$.  Just make sure you check out the seller and their ratings.
