Also with the pumps I can't tell since I don't count them, but if this comparison would help you, @Harley2013, Chaz suggestion was to use a size of a golf ball for the short hair, a golf ball for the top and a golf ball for the length for medium long hair, and three golf balls for very long hair. I think for you, it's two golf balls size, even though your hair is longer, it's still not super long, and you say it's fine.

I guesstimate the amount of WEN and also check how well it covers my hair after I froth it up, it should be a good substantial coverage, and the more water you add during the cleanse the more it should feel "whipped" on your hair.

@HappyDaze I haven't tried the CC's in Tree Tree or Lavender and I hope they are included in the try me kit. He said it was good to have this come out right now because the gallons were coming soon and people could try some out.

The fragrances he spoke of are just in the testing stages for now so I'm not sure when they will come out.

He also said he was going to have launch men's paste next weekend.

Thank you Cindy for this info!  I appreciate your post, @Harley2013!

This is a brilliant idea on behalf of Chaz to produce this "try-me" 6 ounces kits before the gallons come out!

For me personally, well, if these 6 oz kits will be in core CCs, then I probably won't need them, since I've tried everything except the Cucumber.

But for those who want to try some or all of them - these kits are super great purchase!

If you, Cindy will be able tolerate TT's medicinal herbal smell, then this is a CC to use regularly to improve hair's growth, both in volume and length!

All WEN CCs are great of course, but TT will definitely be my first cleanse, and/or occasionally a double cleanse for at least for another year. or so. Well, along with 319 nourishment and Rice formulas for strength and resilience of my hair! Smiley Happy

@sonechko Last time Chaz was on I bought the TT oil and at first it was hard to tolerate, but then I've come to accept the medicinal herbal smell. I cleanse on Monday's and Thursday's so I use it the twice a week the night before I cleanse.

When you cleanse the first time with TT or even both times, do you smell it throughout the day on your hair?

Well, @Harley2013, if you "accepted" TT Oil, the CC in TT will be a breeze! Smiley Happy

I too, first - just tolerated both CC and Oil in TT, then - accepted them, now - I love them! Heart But always happy to take a little break from them in favor of some other "prettier" scents! Woman Happy

@Harley2013 Thanks for keeping us up to date!

The try me kit with the 6 oz. bottles sounds like a good deal for anyone who wants to try Wen and isn't sure which one to try first. When I first tried Wen I started off with the 6 oz. bottles and they were great because they weren't too much product but there was enough for me to get a few cleanses out of them so that I could see what worked and what didn't.

Yes, I want to try TT and LAV so I hope those are in a kit together at least.

My hair is straight, fine and down to the top of my bra strap. How many pumps

do you suggest I use?

@Harley2013 That is a very good question! I have to admit that I don't really remember how many pumps I used since it was almost three years ago but I would just use the recommended number of pumps that's on the bottle. That or if you can eyeball the amount that you usually use from a 16 or 32 oz. bottle.

@Harley2013 Personally I can never smell any of the core formulas in my hair once it's dry.

Re: Wen next weekend

[ Edited ]

@Harley2013, I almost always do only a first cleanse with TT.  My second cleanse is something else, or a combination of something else. I usually try to keep both cleanses CC on my hair as long as I can,  and I notice - the other CCs take over TT smell.

With occasional TT only cleanses, yes I can smell, but very light and pleasant herbal smell in my hair, that I actually like.  I do notice - I keep smelling my hair.

Every time I do two TT cleanses, I make a promise to do this more often, as my hair feels really healthy and clean, and yeah - smelling good with TT!

They all are good, but TT deserves a special award among hard core Wenners, who swear by it's properties helping hair and scalp health. I am still in a process, but with a great progress, my hair was thin and fine, but now - I see hairs!  I love TT.  But it does take a continues use and of course over time.

I could take this one only on a deserted island......It is just the other CCs are good too.....Smiley Happy

I just heard Chaz on periscope say that next weekend there is going to be a try me kit

with 3 - 6 oz.CC's and a 1.8 oz mousse for under $40.

He also said there would be a special on oils.

He said he was working on a BGT and MIF fragrance.

Hi Cindy ( @Harley2013 ), thanks so much for the heads up info from Chaz's periscope videos. -- I don't get much of a chance to watch periscope so I really appreciate it. Smiley Happy

The 3 - 6 oz.CC's and a 1.8 oz mousse for under $40 are a great value and give a great opportunity to try the Classic line of CCs.

And even though I've already bought a number of the Treatment Oils, I'm looking forward to seeing what might be available this weekend.

Thanks so much for the latest info about the Bamboo Green Tea (BGT) and Mandarin Italian Fig (MIF) upcoming fragrances. -- When the BGT EDP comes out, lol, I will be all over it. Smiley Happy

@Harley2013, I'm answering a bit late here but I agree with @sonechko. -- If you don't mind the TT Treatment Oil, then you should be fine with the TT CC. Smiley Happy

When I first started using Wen about five years ago, Chaz only had the Classic line and the TT was my go to CC for a few years (for my baby fine hair). -- The TT scent goes away very quickly. Enjoy!!! Smiley Happy

I think you'll like the Tea Tree (TT), Cucumber Aloe (CA) & Lavender (LAV) selection kit. -- The CA also worked well for my hair. The LAV is probably the trickiest Classic formula, because a number of Wenners have had various issues with it. That said, it might work well for you.

You can always use it as body lotion (the LAV scent is great), or mix it with other CCs to make it easier to use.

Best of luck!!! Smiley Happy
