Re: Wen - November Chat 2015

I'm going to try to be good and wait till Dec. If Chaz brings great sets all bets are off.

@quadmimi you might want to wait awhile & try the mousse again. It didn't work for me at first, but then it did Smiley Very Happy

I'm looking forward to both the Dec TSV and next weekend! I will be getting the restorative line (beloved!) and am thinking about getting the seasonals as well. I am curious about whether or not the seasonals will work better for me now that I've been Wenning for a year!

@yisbuff2

I found that after all my POO hair was cut off the seasonals worked best for me.

Sadly, I managed to rip, tear, and burn my beautiful WEN hair, but the restoratives are in my STASH and I can re-grow it.

Still, I WILL NOT miss the chance to stock up on SHL & SHP!

I hope I can maintain my resistance. I have purchased a lot during the past few visits. I have over two gallons in a variety wenCCs alone, plus several oils, super sizeremoists, and other ancillary products. I have very healthy Wen stash now, but how much Wen is too much?!😜

@Diva1Donna, I know exactly what you mean. I've been using Wen since the end of 2009 and this past summer was the first time that I purchased a lot of Wen. I'm really happy with all of my purchased, but I was surprised by how much I bought. -- If I remember correctly this is what I purchased:

(2) - 16oz Bamboo Green Tea (BGT) & Mandarin Italian Fig (MIF) CC duo -- this allowed me to try MIF which is now, hands down, my favorite CC. Smiley Happy

(1) - 613 Mousse & Styling Creme Home & Away kit -- I needed more 613 Mousse, and and additional 613 mini travel mousse was useful.

(1) - BGT 4oz Remoist & 4oz Oil OTO -- I really wanted to try both of them and the price was very good

(1) - 3-piece 16oz. Summer Seasonals CC Trio OTO -- I really wanted to try the Summer Coconut Lime Verbena (SCLV). The CC worked well, but I didn't like the scent. The trio included the Summer Honey Peach (SHP) which I really like.

(1) - 3-pack of the Fall Tuscan Pear (FTP) 16oz CCs with the wenderful Wen comb -- I really like the FTP and I love my 4th Wen come... only eight more to go to get to an even dozen wen combs... lol, and some of you may think I'm kidding... but I'm quite serious. Smiley Happy That Wen comb is a game changer for my fragile, baby fine hair. Smiley Happy

___

At this point, I'm really going to try hard to draw a line in the sand.. sort of:

* If Chaz offers a great value on a large moussie (hopefully 613), then I'm going for it.

* I'm scaling back and I'm only going to purchase the Seasonal and the Restorative line TSVs. -- I'm going to pass on the Classics CCs

* I'm going to order at least two of the final shipment of the March TSV in MIF (my favorite formula)

* If Chaz offers a 3-piece Winter White Citrus (WWC) CC with Wenderful Wen comb, then I'm all in. Otherwise I'm going to have to purchase some WWC value kit in order to try the WWC.

* I'm going to skip my second September TSV shipments and purchase more for the third shipment.

* I passed on the three excellent 613 value kits because I have a good supply of 613 CC.

lol, then I have a few months to figure out what I'm going to do about my favorite Spring Seasonals... and the March TSV. Smiley Wink

Decisions, decisions... Smiley Wink

@yisbuff2, I think that's a really good plan. If one of the Seasonals works well for you, then most of them should work fairly well for you. lol, I love them all... even the ones with the odd scents like Winter Vanilla Mint (WVM) and Summer Coconut Lime Verbena (SCLV).

It it turns out that they work well for your hair then you can increase your second auto delivery shipment for next June. This will give you the best value on the CCs which, I'm guessing, will probably run between $16-18 each. Smiley Happy That makes Wen CCs really cost effective. Smiley Happy

@Drythe Oh that is good to know! I started my Wen journey with a really short pixie, so I think I'm poo hair free (that term haha).

Hair is SO easy to damage. I still blow dry (on the lowest heat, but still) and occasionally heat style, so I know mine isn't perfect. Wen will save you! You will regrow like a champ! Team Restoratives!

@bebe777 you are the QUEEN of Wen strategy! That is a really good point. I've got plenty of the rice based to use as a first cleanse if I need to do so, and layering in the seasonals would be really fun. Unless my hair goes into total panic mode I will certainly use up the first batch as CC, and if one or two go rogue I now know to use them as body wash! Win, win, WEN. Haha.

I may also give my non-scented rice to my Mom for Christmas because while she likes the BGT scent she is a huge purist and would like unscented better. I know some of you are nice enough to gift a lot of Wen, but I do believe I am a Wen selfish shellfish. Woman Wink

I am on the same wave length as you. I would never give WEN as a gift, unless I knew that the person  loved the product already or had expressed an interest in WEN.

@icezeus It does seem like unless someone is willing to commit to the whole program that it is nice, but perhaps not a great use of funds. If someone is a Wenner, however, it is THE BEST.
