WEN Rice based formula recommendations?

I love the WEN Bamboo Green Tea rice based formula for my fine, thin hair but would like to try another fragrance. Can anyone recommend another option (nothing too strong)?

If you want to stay rice based, I love the new Light CC.  Thats the best performing rice formula for my hair.

Re: WEN Rice based formula recommendations?

Hi, iachick!  Wen Men is rice based, oh, I think it's on wait list though.  It's lovely.  The scent is so enjoyable.  No, that's not a good description.  The scent is AMAZING.  Well, to me it is.  To me, it has many facets.  It's vanilla-y, woodsy, gingery, orange-y, a bit powdery.  It's gender friendly too.  Wen Kids is VERY gentle and I think it is rice based too.  I find all Wen cleansing conditioners gentle but I know everyone is different.  The Light one is rice based too, like americanbulldog, I'm sorry, I'm not good with names but she's right.  The Light one is fabulous, I got it in the TSV and went back for more.  The Bamboo scent is really amazing too, I got the EDP, it's lovely.  Chaz's scents are unmatched.  They resemble nature exactly.  I found the Winter Red Currant amazing too but I'm afraid that won't be back until next winter.  I don't think that one is rice based though.  I hope you find a niche!

I saw the Light was rice based. How would you describe the scent? Thanks!

Thanks! I hadn't thought of trying the Wen Men as I was worried it would be too "manly" smelling. Sounds nice, though.

Hi!  Oh, no Wen Men is not manly.  It's gender friendly.  It's a beautiful scent.  In fact, the way I think, it should be called, "Beautiful!"  I think the cleansing conditioner is on wait list though.  The Light is really nice too.  The cleansing conditioner is mild, not loud, to me.  It's funny because I didn't cotton to the EDP but I adore the NBT (Nourishing Body Treatment in the jar)  I bought, must have been five or six of those.  I have two left.  Oh, I forgot, Wen Men can be purchased on Chaz's site too but QVC has better prices and they are always doing easy pays.  If you really want to stick to rice based, Wen Kids is REALLY gentle.  I love all those but my favorite is the Apple one.  In fact, come to think of it, I got that in a gallon a few years ago.  I went for the auto delivery on that too.  The other ladies on here could help better than I could though for suggesting.  Everyone must be out and about now that winter's over.  The poster's name is americanbulldogmom.  That's it.  I'm terrible with names but I never forget a face! LOL!  I hope you find something you like.  I'm a Wen girl, this August will be eight years.  Some people have been for alot longer too!  Please forgive my rambling, I'm just a huge fan!

@77yangya  I agree with you, WenMen has a lovely scent that women can (and do) enjoy.  Chaz was so thoughtful in that he made it a scent for both men and women.  Heart

@kwkelley

if you want to try the light CC - it was just included in the March TSV plus you get three other items that I think is still available. ( maybe 5 bucks more.) And the 'hairspray' is really good.

 Have you tried any of the Core CCs??

IMHO Wen Men is the most masculine scent.

@kwkelley, you may like Wen rice based Fragrance Free cleaning conditioner. It's great alone, but also mixes nicely with any other Wen.

Hi,

If you do not have to use the rice protein only, here are my suggestions for WEN cc that do NOT weigh fine hair down:

1  Tea tree ...but the scent is strong. Great for scalp, but I find it a bit drying, so I use it only on first cleanse, and use a richer cc for second cleanse.

2  Cucumber Aloe....My favorite, as it does not weigh my hair down, nor dry it out.

3. Lavender.....Tied for my favorite with CA. Lavender really volumizes my hair!! Love love love!

Those are the 3 that give my hair the most volume in a blowout. I do always use the Styling Cream, and I love to add a few spritzes of WEN Volumizing spray to the cream.
