WEN

I used to use Wen more regularly but stopped because it seems to take longer to rinse out than other cleansing conditioners, it's expensive, and you have to do two cleanses. I've mostly been using the Herbal Essences and the Biolage products. The Biolage for coarse hair is the more hydrating of the two, but I miss the great scents of Wen, and my hair looks great with 613 or FTP.

Does anyone here only do one cleanse? Do you use the full amount of pumps instead of half the quantity? I have to get up early, so I try to cut down on my routine time. Smiley Happy I also wash my hair every day because it's still too oily to go a day without washing.

Thanks in advance!

My hair is thin and fine and still gets oily the next day so I also have to cleanse every day. I've had many days lately where I had to be at work earlier than usual and I was just too tired to do two cleanses so I just did one. I try to use the recommended amount but at the same time I just kind of apply the cleansing conditioner until I feel like it's enough. I do get better results with two cleanses but it's not like my hair looks horrible with one cleanse so I'll do it when I'm trying to save time.

I've tried other cleansing conditioners and just don't understand what's up with the horrible smells. Most of the Wen formulas smell amazing and they work much better for my hair so that's why I keep going back to them.

I cleanse my hair twice a week about every four days. On the weekends, I obviously have more time so I will perform two cleanses. I never measure or count pumps, because I find it to be a pain. Instead. I have heard Chaz before state that you should be using about a golf ball size of product so I eyeball it for my cleanses.

When I cleanse my hair mid week, I am trying to get ready for work so I only do one cleanse. My hair looks fine, but  I would agree that it looks better with two cleanses.

Thank you both so much! That's what I was assuming would happen with one cleanse: it would work but better with two cleanses.

@HSB1204, I agree about the smells. I like that I can scoop out the AsIAm and never have to hit the bottle on my palm while trying to get the product out, but it doesn't smell great.

I'll test it out this week. I can always put my hair in a ponytail if I hate it. Smiley Happy

@pinkmochi I cleanse everyday & usually do 2 cleanses, especially if I do oil overnight, which I often do.

My hair is real short & does just fine with only 1 cleanse, I really can't tell much difference.

I only do one cleanse because I get the same results either way. I really do not count pumps, I just know when it feels right

Re: Two cleanses?

Don't forget that the first cleanse can be a quick cleanse. I usually put on the cc, add a good splash of water, massage it in, and rinse it right away. I don't leave the first cleanse on my hair. Then I add the cc for the second cleanse, add a good splash of water, massage it in, and leave it on my hair while I wash my body. Then I rinse thoroughly. It doesn't take me but a couple minutes longer than with shampoo and conditioner. Also, adding a good splash of water to the cc when you cleanse helps to distribute the product. It also helps to make it rinse easier and quicker.

I have almost always done 1 cleanse..I have super fine, color treated, chin length hair..

I am guessing that two cleanses are a good thing, especially if you have alot more hair, honestly I just hate seeing my expensive, wonderful Wen rinsing away, and since I cleanse everyday I can't tell a difference for me..Smiley Happy

I also don't count pumps, I just do the one golf ball thing...

I have coarse, long Asian hair. I'm going to try one cleanse tomorrow morning to see how that goes. It's just so expensive when you have long hair to do two cleansesband wash daily. Thank you all for your help! Smiley Happy

@pinkmochi I think you misunderstand. It is NOT more expensive because you do NOT use twice as much product. You use the same amount you normally do for one cleanse but half the amount for the first and then the second. So you should not be going through WEN any faster with a double versus single cleanse.
