Summer formulas- help me decide

So I haven't followed the seasonals in a few years, but I'm wanting to go with a summer seasonal this time. Help me pick the right one.

I'm thin and thinning fine hair with natural curl. Dry, dry, dry- even fig wasn't enough moisture for my hari! BGT has worked best for me recently.  MIF did not work at all, my scalp and hair reacted poorly to something in it and got very dry and (scalp) itchy. Same thing with Wen Men.  BGT  isn't doing what it used to do for my hair, I think it is ready for a change.

CLV- I love this scent in other items. I know I would love the fragrance

summer tropical- I love anything fruity. Really leaning toward this, but how does it perform?

SMC- not crazy about mango, otherwise intrigued

SHP- I did try this before, it didn't seem to do much for my hair.

SMM- He said Tuscan when talking about this, makes me nervous it may have those same MIF notes that didn't do well for me.

Thoughts?

Re: Summer formulas- help me decide

I also have fine hair, poker-straight except for the perm I got a few months ago.  I used to like BGT, but since the perm it doesn't have enough moisture.  MIF also made my scalp itch, but I've determined that the honey extracts Chaz is using are what I'm allergic to, and so long as I don't use them, I'm okay.  So I haven't used many of the summer formulas, most of them have honey extracts in them, but I did love and use SHP for at least a year before the honey allergy kicked in, I used it so much that might have been the trigger, for all I know.  I got a sample of the summer tropical with the last a/d shipment of the fall TSV, and liked the scent, but only used it as a first cleanse so the honey didn't stay on my scalp very long, so I don't know how well it might have performed.  I won't purchase SMM, it has the honey in it and I would rather use TT as a first cleanse all the time, not a seasonal.  If I had to rate moisture, I would say that Summer Mango Coconut is the winner for me, it's been performing very well on my perm-dried fine hair this spring so far.  I don't love the scent, but the performance is good.

Regarding your thinning hair, do you use Tea Tree oil scalp treatments?  It's made a world of difference in my formerly thinning hair, even if I only do one treatment a week.

I do use the TT oil, but not as often as I should. I also have one of those very expensive laser combs that I don't use as often as I should. Ir eally need to do better with both of those.

My fine, thin hair loves the tropical. Get lots of body and volume, and the highlights and greys sparkle. It rinses well - no problems with my sensitive scalp. The fragrance is yummy. I think you'll love it.

Awesome Lynne, that is the one I ended up going with... for my first gallon of the month LOL. It sounds like our heads have a lot in common so hopefully it will be great for mine too.

I think STP is a good choice for you too, it was my favorite CC until I tried Bella Spirit! I love the performance and fragrance of STP, it just makes me happy when I smell it.

The BGT and MIF formulas are rice based and I've never tried them so I can't make a comparison. The seasonal CC's are more treatment based so you should see a difference.

I have curly hair that is not thick and I love Summer Honey Peach. It is the most moisturizing of the seasonals that I have used. I am torn between trying the Melon Mint or sticking to what I know works.

My hair is very different, but if you need moisture I think honey peach and coconut lime are the most moisturizing of the summer seasonals, although I haven’t tried the new melon mint

<big sigh> I just want them all. I wonder how many gallons could show up at my house before my hubby files for divorce?

@tidegirl72 - you just have to make the UPS guy gets to your house before your hubby does! And, there are plenty of places to hide those wonderful Wen gallons, lol.
