@Kjelle wrote:@Susan25 @bebe777 @HSB1204 @ANewHue Maybe I am dreaming, but I thought Chaz said 2 formulas were being retired this year. I think that is different then reaching the end of their rotation. So far, except for gallons, it seems they come out for three years, then go into the vault and he said that when that happens, if it comes back it won't be for 2-3 years.
I took the retirement thing to mean it is never coming back. We all speculated which those would be and I think the consensus was FAS and SGGT, which is why I am buying 2 SGGT oils in the Spring. I am still banking on those two, because people found SGGT drying (me included-but loved it anyway) and also they didn't like the addition of ylang ylang to the oil so that it didn't smell exactly like the CC (I love that too.) And we all know what the issue was with FAS (although for me it is moisturizing and the maple does make your hair shine.)
Do any of you ladies recall that statement about 2 formulas being retired? I think it was from Periscope. We definitely discussed retiring formulas here.
@Kjelle I'm not on Periscope so I don't know what was discussed. I do know that the first scents went to the vault the word retired was used, although FAS, WCM and SGGT may not have as big of a fan base as the other I really don't think they will go away forever. It was my understanding that SGGT had a pretty huge fan base. I actually didn't try it until the 2nd year it was around and it really grew on me.

I remember some discussions about retiring formulas but I don't remember the specifics. I also assumed that "retired" meant it was never come back again.
I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to SGGT. I've never experienced the dryness that others talk about.

@Kjelle, what HSB1204 said just jogged my memory. I'm pretty sure I remember Chaz and the host joking during his last visit and sort of insinuating the retired formulas wouldn't be available for a few years... Implying that they would be back at some point.
Kjelle, periscope just got too much for me to follow so I haven't been listening to it for the past few months. I just don't remember reading anything in this forum
saying that certain formulas would be retired with no possibility of ever coming back. I also don't remember anything about just two formulas being retired.
I don't think that Chaz has actually ever confirmed how many formulas would be retired.
I think what happened was that as soon as we heard that some of the formulas would be retired there was a rush to try to figure out which formulas would be retired and how many formulas were likely to be retired. I know that early on I speculated that probably for formulas would be retired – one for each season – because for new formulas were going to be introduced for the 2016 2017 seasonal year.

@bebe777 Yes, I was pretty surprised that I even liked the scent of SGGT since I'm not usually into floral scents, but I really like it and it's definitely not drying for me. ![]()

I hope they do come back occasionally, there would be a buying frenzy from the ones that love their retired scents

@bebe777 @HSB1204 @ANewHue I want honorary membership! Labor Day weekend 2012, Chaz said Spring 2013 was it for SGGT. However, I was not a savvy Q shopper yet. I didn't even know you could change the quantity of your seasonal 32 AD from season to season. So what did I do? I ordered about eight 16s of SGGT! In addition, I had 2 or 3 from GR which I was still signed up for at the time. It took up so much room and made me feel so pressured, I later had to do a trade with @jennys kid to get rid of some of it! She said I was giving her too much and I told her I didn't even care! My love for SGGT had made me crazed. Never again! Huge stash, yes. That huge a stash of one thing, no. 😖
