DO NOT GET TT OIL IN EYES, EVER!!! Seriously, I didn't do it on purpose, but somehow a little tiny trickle of Tea Tree oil ran from my scalp into the outer corner of my right eye a few minutes ago. I washed my face and eye, flushed it with lots of warm water, and put in an eye rinse, and the burning stopped, but I think I am going to buy a set of small swim goggles or something, to make sure that does not happen again, EVER!!! ![]()

Ouch! For me it's only TT. I hold a facecloth across my forehead while oiling my hair. It helps if you're ambidextrous, which I'm not!

Yeah, I'm not, either, Drythe. Maybe I'll put a headband across my forehead and pad it with a couple of facial tissues to soak up any stray trickles of oil? I sure know I'd better do something, I don't want to feel that sensation ever again!

NO eye cream or serums either - the world gets blurry.

I did get TT oil in my eyes couple of times too, not good. I remembered, and when putting it on the front, I keep my head up a little, like Chaz showed, so it does not run down the forehead. I even put some on my eyebrows, but again - carefully smoothing it down so it does not run.

TeaTree cleansing conditioner also very bad in the eye, even frothed up and diluted with lots of water.
After experiencing that, I am SO careful with the oils.
That headband idea sounds good, since I no longer have eyebrows to catch runs & drips, and everything seems to end up in my eyes.

I love love live WEN products but I use plain coconut oil to remove eye make up. Use the cc and my clairsonic on my face and that works great

I think my problem comes when I am applying the oil to the sides and back of my scalp, I'm unconciously tipping my head forward. I am going to try to remember to change the "order" next time, so that I do the back of my head first, then the sides, then the top and front LAST, so I am not tilting my head forward with oil on it. It trickles down my forehead, across my eyebrows, and down the the little wrinkles at the corners of my eyes, straight into the eyeballs! Oil that goes all over my forehead is not doing my scalp any good, anyway.

I wasn't using the oil to remove makeup, I was trying to put it on my scalp, and it ran down my forehead and got in my eyes. I love what the tea tree oil does for my scalp, my hair is much more dense and full, but I have to keep it out of my eyes!
