Good evening, ladies! I want to buy the TSV because it's such a good deal, even better than the gallons. However, I have coarse, Asian hair that can sometimes get frizzy. I usually use the Fig and mix it with Pear or 613. I've tried the rice formulas before and thought they were drying. I'm leaning toward getting the SAM, but I've never tried the lavender. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you very much for any help! Smiley Happy

Lavender adds a lot of volume. Good for fine, thin, limp hair. Makes coarse, highly textured hair too 'poofy'.

@x Hedge Thank you! I think I'll go for the SAM. It's okay, especially when combined with the Pear, but it's not as moisturizing as the Fig. I really appreciate your help! Smiley Happy

I like Fig also. I have frizzy, thinner  hair but lots of it and it is long. I like WVM and I just spent $200. I better get off the computer. Happy Holidays.

@pinkmochi I'm guessing you and I are the same.  I also have pure

Asian coarse hair.  When my hair was below "B" strap, my go to

was FIG.  When I did use the LAV it gave me a Poof Look.  Hair

felt nice and soft.  I somehow prefer the TT than the SAM.  TT

has never dried out my hair but has always kept my very oily

scalp in check and has never dried out my ends.  My very first

CC that I used was the SAM and it did magic to my hair.  I just

didn't care for the fragrance.

DO I EVER!!!!  YES!!  My hair is prone to frizz big time.  However, I got the dry oil, which is on QVC's site now and you get two of them.  I spritz it into my hands, rub them together and apply to hair after it's done being blow dried.  My hair will NOT frizz even in humid conditions!  Since your hair is very coarse, if doing my regime doesn't work, spritz it into the hair.  I love this stuff, for me it IS a game changer.  Next August, I'll be a Wen girl nine years and I use ALL Wen products only not the Texture Spray (makes my hair too poofy) LOL!  But the dry oil will not allow my hair to frizz.  It's amazing!  I love Asian hair!  I wish mine were that nice black color with the natural blue highlights.  Mine's mostly platinum, yuk.  I don't want to color anymore.  There's some variation underneath, which makes it look like I "frost" it.  I know, that's an old term.  LOL!  I would strongly recommend the dry oil.  Anyway, what's great is if we don't like something, QVC is great in returns.  I returned two impulse buys that were not Wen items and I didn't like them at all.  I must have been day dreaming or something that day.  I don't want to say the name of the products because someone else may like that brand.  Oh well.  But that's my recommend,  yeah, dats it, dats it!!!  LOL!!!

I use to use Fig till Chaz came out with the Rice line.  I use it now and like it even better than Fig.

Have you looked at the Rice selection?

@AlohaSun Thank you very much for your recommendation! I'm trying the TT for the first time since it works well for you. I also have an oily scalp and have to wash my hair every day. Crossing my fingers that it'll work so that I can limit the number of days I wash my hair. Although, I don't know how people who exercise get away with not washing their hair. :/ Thanks again!

@77yangya Thanks for your response! Is the dry oil the same as the other oil that comes in kits sometimes? I have some Tuscan Pear oil that I haven't tried yet. Maybe I should try that in the dry winter days?

I originally ordered the SAM last night. After reading the forum tonight, I placed an order for TT. I was unable to cancel my order for SAM, but I chatted with CS, and they said I could return the SAM for free with the return label since I was unable to cancel it. It was nice when they gave you a grace period to cancel in case you changed your mind about color or scent of something, but CS said there's no longer a grace period. That's too bad because it'll probably make me less likely to click "Submit" as quickly. Which is probably good for my wallet. Smiley Happy
