Can anyone tell which is the most moisturizing formula that would clean scalp deeply once or twice a month- WEN Kids or Cucumber Aloe? I have normal scalp and dry hair length. TIA!

@BigAppleBella My scalp is quite oily, always has been.  On top of having an oily scalp I do nightly oil treatments at least 5 days/week, so I cleanse every day. Because of all this, I use the CA CC every 1st cleanse on my scalp. I do find it slightly drying on the length of my hair since I use it daily so I use TT on length every 1st cleanse (and mix a little in on my scalp too for the added benefits).  If I didn't use it daily I could probably use it on my length with no problems. With you only looking to use it twice/month it would be just fine. The CA CC does a great job of ridding my hair/scalp completely of all oil without drying out my scalp. So, it really is a very gentle yet clarifying CC. The WEN Kids I have not used so I can not comment on any of those formula's.

BAB, I have a normal scalp and dry-normal hair.  I use silicones often and CA works great for me.  I haven't tried any of the Kids' formulas.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

I use cucumber aloe on my scalp at least once a week and on the length after every oil treatment.  It gets my scalp and hair squeeky clean.   It is a gentle clarifying cleanser for me.

Thank you ladies! I think I will order CA CC since i would use it once or twice monthly. When I tried to use a shampoo to clarify my scal and hair length, it stirs out. I never have tried CA and I am sure it is very gentle enough. Thanks again!

Dried out, not stir out to be corrected.

Do you use CA CC for clarifying your hair (since Chaz says it's the "most astringent" formula) or do you use another outside brand for your clarifying/chelating needs in your regimen periodically? Or do you even feel the need to clarify/chelate your hair at all?

I have 4C relaxed hair (4x a year), normal scalp, & dry hair. The water is quite hard in my area & I find clarifying/chelating my hair at times "resets" my hair to respond to hair products better and prevents hair product "fatigue" (hair stops responding to the product anymore after a while) sort of speak....Your thoughts....

I use CA to clairify my naturally oily hair, works great for me. I use the Wen Kids watermelon and love it!

@Stars78

That's interesting...

I've never considered the kids formula CC as having clarifying properties in it & I use the Apple CC the most to date since I started using Wen a year ago.

CA is definitely most clarifying In my experience. I've been using Wen exclusively since 2013. However, I think all of the CCs I use do a great job. The watermelon is more beneficial in my hair than the apple or strawberry banana.
