I have a question about my hair. It is shoulder length but the right side breaks and looks like it isn't growing. I trim the bottom and left side every other month hoping to catch up. I ordered the hair tonic and lavender cleansing conditioner. Do you think that will help me? I don't use heat, have virgin hair, and am 65 years old. Thanks so much!

I don't use the lavender cleanser but it would be a good start with the tonic..

I use the tonic faithfully every night, I apply it well before bed so the scent dries down.

I do not use the pump it comes with, (just my preference) I use a dropper & apply it to my scalp & massage in...around my hairline I put some on a sponge makeup wedge & press it into my hairline so it doesn't run down my face..Smiley Happy  It is filling in with new baby hairs...be sure & concentrate a bit more on the areas you are concerned with.

Hopefully others can add some other advice for you also..I don't use much heat either.

I think you would want to give it a while, it took a bit to see mine filling in..Smiley Happy

@germanblush  Do you have a silk or satin pillowcase you can use to sleep on?  For me that made a huge difference in breakage and frizziness on the back of my head, since I usually sleep on my back.  If you are sleeping predominantly on your right side and are sleeping on fleece, flannel or percale sheets, those fabrics might be damaging your hair.  The hair tonic will certainly improve your hair growth, and the cleansing conditioner will strengthen your hair, but to really stop breakage you need to find the mechanical cause and change it, and for most women, that is their pillowcase.

It may sound strange but do you sleep on that side a lot?  That may be doing that.

Anyway...the Botanical should really fix that.  It makes the hair strong and makes it GROW!

ug.  I'm being paged.   Be back.  XO

Okay, I'm back.  I had a lot of breakage from round brushing.  I use a paddle brush now and only boar bristles.  It's easy on the hair, it doesn't  tug as much as one with nylon ones.

I use the Wen Botanical before bed every night.  I just spritz it into my scalp, massage in, clip it on top of my head and go to bed and cleanse the next morning.  It gives the hair fullness, strength, body.  I think it's amazing for this kind of issue.

Years ago I realized I was having breakage right around the hairline, cause was (cheap) hairspray!

Although a regular WEN user, my hair (and nails) still tend toward breaking throughout winter months due to dried heated indoor air and dry, cold wind (I'm outdoors a lot).

Needing year 'round strength and pliability against breakage, I use the very rich SCLV and 613.  I'll use a few others just as an occasional fragrance "treat".

If you're intention is to stick with a WEN Classic, you might try Fig next, for moisture.

WEN Classic Lavender will increase your volume, and any WEN is an improvement over using shampoo.

Thank you all so very much for your help! I think I may be on the right track with this. We just moved from the midwest (two months ago), where the air is very dry and windy. That is a factor to me as well and we are on the east coast with the humidity now. Also, I noticed that I use my right shoulder to hang my bag. Duh! I'm sure that doesn't help me. I will be getting a silk pillowcase, too. AND I do you a round hairbrush. Hmmm.... I will check in with you in a month or so after I get my products and let you know if I see improvement. I'm sure I will.  Thank you so much, again!

I had a problem last year with hair breakage and thinning.  I am a Wen user for years but underwent a lot of stress at work.  I changed how I use Wen to only Tea Tree on my scalp and any one of the other scents on the rest of my hair.  I also use the tonic a few times a week.  I now see baby hairs on my front hairline. Not sure if either or both helped but something I did worked, plus my stress level went down.  Good luck!

Thank you so much! I think I may try Tea Tree on that side as well as the tonic. Smiley Happy
