I read reviews and watched many youtube videos trying to find a good travel pillow with neck support to try.  I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought the Cabeau Evolution Pillow.  Of course, I haven't tried it on a plane yet, but it seems to be just what I need.  It totally supports my head and neck and if I tighten it, my chin is supported too.  It is soft but supportive.  I got the original version, but there is also a "Cool" version with venting that keeps it from making you too hot.  It comes with a travel pouch and will easily fit in a carryon bag.

Hope you like it. To sleep on an airplane it helps to have head support.  Good reviews on Amazon.

I don't have that one but I'm going to look at it next time I'm in BBB.

I do use a small travel pillow in bed watching TV.   Whether I fall asleep or not, it's just very comfortable instead of trying to beat my pillows into submission.

Enjoy your trip

@software  I slept with it around my neck last night and woke with absolutely no neck pain or stiffness (very unusual for me).  Even if I were never able to use it for travel, it is worth the price for using while relaxing at home.
