Not in a long time, but what a lovely city it is, reminds me very much of NYC but much cleaner and probably safer. Yonge St is where all the action is like Times Sq

Don't forget to hit 'the  Path', it's a huge underground mall! I've not been to Toronto for well over 5 years but I believe it is still open, great to explore!

Are we still welcomed there?

Ha, ha, Canadians are great people!

We were actually just in Mt. Tremblant at the beginning of this month for my husband to do some skiing.

We drove up there and had to go through the borders both ways, and I made sure to be prepared--but there were zero issues--very sparse traffic, in fact, so the process was fast and smooth.

I like practicing French, and listening to all the French songs and news!

Toronto is a modern and diverse big city with a lot to see and do--I prefer Montreal a bit more, and smaller Québec City is the most historic.  Yes, the underground areas are always fun to tour, but during warmer weather I like to be out and about.

There are a lot of great and interesting restaurants everywhere in Canada.

Travel is a great way to broaden one's mind and see the world in perspective.

My guess is we are not welcomed there.

One of my grandson's best friends plays hockey locally for a minor league team.  He and another player were invited to Canada by a scout for a tryout for one of their pro teams.  They flew there, drove a good distance to where the tryout was.  Only to be told that they wanted nothing to do with Americans.  Alrighty then.

Furthermore I've been friendly - for about. 30 years - with two women online on another private message board.  Met them on a public board prior to the private one being started.   Anyway both are from Canada - one just outside Toronto.  They're pretty clear about hating our POTUS.  I think they tolerate me now lol but it's clear they no longer like Americans.  The one in particular never misses a chance for a dig against us.  In fact the one didn't particularly like us even "before."  Always mad for instance when an American team won the Stanley Cup.

@FranandZoe There is something seriously wrong with someone that would treat you badly because they don't like the President.

That would be like not liking you because they don't like bald eagles or red & white stripes.

If those people actually acted that way that is on them, not you.

@bargainsgirl I am going to Toronto in August. I have never been & I am excited!

I haven't been to Toronto in years, but loved it when I did go. It reminds me of NYC the city that never sleeps.
