Have you been to Tijuana in the last year or so?

The travel sites indicate that those from San Diego and Tijuana just come and go over the boarder with ease and relative safety.

yes, we usually just walk across the border instead of driving. sometimes we take a cab to rosarito beach and spend part of the day there. then we come back to tijuana, do some shopping, and come back across the border. have never had any issues.

@granddi  Yes, I've been across the border into Tijuana several times.

Have not been recently, but be sure to check customs/duties and restrictions before buying and returning.  We got caught out once.

Would go in the 70's & 80's for a great day. The last time not so with tanks & guns on Revolution street. Never went again.
