@kitty45  I'm looking into it now. I got back from Tucson last Friday. It was already rather hot there. I'm guessing Sedona is tolerable from late fall to early spring. Maybe someone woh knows firsthand will chime in.

It's beautiful, spritual, and to those of us who know, it's kind of scary.

What is the best time of the year to visit Sedona?

we were just here in early May and it was already getting warm/hot.  no humidity though.

i guess it depends on what you want to do and how warm you want it.

i would not go in the Summer.  temps hover around 100, nope not for me.

the first time we went early April and it was perfect temp.

we hike, so i do not want it hot.

if you are just sightseeing, then go when the temp is to your liking.

i did here this year, that it has become a spot for Spring Break.  so lots of college kids from mid-March to mid-April....

it is gorgeous and peaceful, that's why we went back.

we try not visit same place twice, since there is so many places to travel to and explore...

I hope you're able to get there soon.  It's different from any other place I've ever visited.  Magical!

I was looking around in the TRAVEL folder for some mention of Tucson. In a few days, I'll be spending a week there at a work conference. Saguaro Natl. Park is on my list, but I am looking for additional ideas. Seeing this post makes me I wish I could get to Sedona. I'll definitely have to go back!

@eaesquire.  There is a very outstanding  desert museum in the vicinity of the national park which is interesting because they have flora and fauna.  Can't recall its formal name but you might want to check it out.

@kitty45.  Sedona is desert surrounded by solid heat-absorbing rock.  It's hotter than hades in summer but pleasant the rest of the year.  They can get snow in winter.

If you are referring to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, I went there. It was amazing. My coworker mentioned stopping there on our way back from Saguaro. It was a wee bit warm for me that afternoon, but I really enjoyed it. I echo your suggestion to check it out.
