[Mom2Dogs]

Does anyone live in or near Granville, Ohio?  

It looks like a nice place to visit..shopping, art museums, food, etc.  Thinking maybe if DH is up to it we could spend the weekend there over Thanksgiving.  It is only about a 4 hour drive from our home.  Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

It's a cute little town.  If there's not enough to do, you can always go into Columbus which is close by.

@Travone   Thanks. the small scale town appeals to us, Columbus can be busy, but it is a good suggestion.

@Mom2Dogs  A train ride would be shorter which in turn would give you more time to enjoy your mini vacation.  Also, less tiring.

Mom2Dogs,

We live a little over three hours from Granville and have been there five times this year. There’s a bed and breakfast there that we love called the Welsh Hills Inn. It’s about five minutes from town. I see they do have our favorite room open on Thanksgiving weekend. They will be all decked out for Christmas.

The town has quite a few places to eat. There are only a couple of shops.

Newark is a larger town and is only about fifteen minutes from Granville. We’ve never spent any time there though.

@Mom2Dogs   enjoy your trip.  Depending on what direction you are traveling from, you could also stop in Amish country.
