Yes!  Samsonite...... Still have and use them.  Were my mom's .  In the closet right now, great shape.  Another " they don't make 'em like they used to" item.

I got a complete Samsonite luggage set, in white, for Christmas the year before high school graduation. I've gotten rid of it through the years, the largest part lost in the Philadelphia airport in the 70s. I kept the train/makeup case for years filled with my treasures; the treasures lost their appeal through the years. Now I wish I still had it and could see what was important to me in my teens/20s. Yep!  I got my set of Samsonite luggage for my high school graduation gift.  1961.  I see my train case in the picture. Second row, second from the left!  I do donate quite a bit so I'm thinking that it went to a good home!  It sure was made to last, unlike what we now have.
