How can all the Luminara candles be available today when they said they were sold out last night?

I have seen this happen before, not just with TSV's but other items too.  I think people panic when the host says something is about to sell out so they purchase then cancel when they realize they didn't really want or need it.  I hate that the day after a TSV you can buy an item that they said was sold out - but at a higher price. I guess that is partly the customers fault too though for cancelling an order.

There are frequent posts from those who order and cancel or put in a check order with almost no intention of buying.  They're proud of their no-buys, and expect the company to figure out how to make other buyers happy. - just part of the me-first culture we're living in.

I actually understand this behavior from those new to the power of TV shopping, but it seems selfish to me when experienced shoppers cut others out.  Short of allowing no cancellations (!!!) or charging to cancel (!!!), I can't think of a way to get people to stop the behavior.  Any good ideas?

Actually, if you were online last night, when they were saying certain sizes and colors were sold  out,  there were still colors and sizes  available that they were not presenting.  They had navy and grey long after they said they were sold out.  Given the sales hype  they employ, I think it is okay that people chnge their mind when their senses kick in.

I don't quite understand their mailing policy for candles either. I ordered Valerie's candles and they aren't going to be shipped until Sept. because of the heat but I also ordered some other candles "as is" and they are already shipped. I would think the Luminara candles shouldn't have been shipped now either. I didn't order Luminara yesterday. I thought maybe I would keep an eye out for "as is" on them.
