I am on my 2nd Roborock. It's the only brand I've had and I'm very pleased with them. Both of mine wash, vac, self empty and self clean. Hot water cleans the mop and hot water cleans the floor. Why did I buy another one? Suction power. My first was 7000pa max. That's ok if you have all hard surface. My home is about equal parts hard surface and carpet. The upgraded robot (namedTaylor Sweep) is 22,000pa. The new one comes with a cleaning solution tank that fills by it's self and a whole hosts of features more than the first one. It seems like Roborock introduces a new model every other day
I did a lot of research before my first robot. For my spending limit, (the first) Roborock was the clear winner. It was $1000 at the time but I got it on sale on Amz for $800. I don't have any reason to buy a different brand.
Taylor Sweep...

Look at this! My single story home has different levels. I have to pick up and move my robot 3x. This guy bought a ramp. I'm buying two.

Something I'd like to warn you about if you have some low furniture pieces. I don't have anything my first Roborock couldn't get under. My first one has the Lidar radar on top like the picture of the vac going up the ramp. Some of the newer models have the radar bump that lowers before going under furniture. If you look at mine, it doesn't have that radar bump on top. The radar is built in the front. Look at the height of the models you are considering and make sure you have enough clearance.
Someone here has a Dreame robovac. I considered that brand too for my 2nd one but ultimately went back with Roborock. I've called CS twice. Both times the rep was nice, considerate and was able to answer my questions.
Now for a dusting robot!

How "tech forward" are you? Any robovac worth buying is going to come with a host of features to meet your various needs. If you think the techno part of owning a robot will be an issue, do you have friends or family close by who can help you set it up and show you some of the features? There are tons of YT videos on all the brands.
It is so SO wonderful to have satin smooth and dog hair-free floors ![]()

According to Gemini: There is no single "industry leader," as different brands excel in different areas, but Roborock and Ecovacs consistently receive top ratings for overall performance and advanced features. Roborock is frequently praised for reliability, powerful cleaning, and efficient navigation, with models like the Qrevo (my old model), Curv, Saros 10R (my new model) receiving high marks. Ecovacs is a strong contender, particularly for its innovative mopping technology and high cleaning scores, with the Deebot T30S Combo and X9 Pro Omni being notable examples. Good luck. They are game changers!
