Congrats!! You'll be VERY happy with the refurb version. I love mine and I swear I could not tell it was not new.

Just an FYI - give them some time until they ship yours. They are not typical retail and don't ship within 24-48 hours. For mine, they took almost a full week before it actually shipped. Just wanted to let you know so that you are not surprised.

I just purchased the reconditioned 5200 in stainless. I went through a rep and got some freebies and an extra year added to the warranty. It arrived last night and we have already used it five times! I am interested to see what the TSV will be, though...and I plan to watch the presentations.

Congrats! You will love it! I am planning to buy my daughter a reconditioned one too.

I've heard ALL good about purchasing refurbed units from the Vitamix people. While mine isn't a refurb (I didn't know about it back then), I did get mine from the Vitamix website and I'm glad I did. Costco would, of course, be another good source.

But, if it were between purchasing a refurb from Vitamix and buying one of the models from QVC's inventory, I'd buy the refurb from Vitamix directly. You get the full 7 year warranty and a model that wasn't cranked out by the tens of thousands for a sale at QVC. Those are the only ones about which I've ever seen complaints and problems. The good thing, though, is that the Vitamix company will take care of you. It's just a hassle that one might want to avoid.

ITA Chickenbutt! I purchased mine from the VM site directly too. QVC offers the easy pay that isn't offered through VM (they do offer 3 easy pays, but charge $15 extra) & that does make the purchase more affordable for many. I love my VM & couldn't be without it!

I am also very interested in what the TSV will be. What is the difference in all the different type models of this machine? I understand the size difference, but how can the product be improved if it's suppose to last a lifetime? Also, I've been watching these for awhile and haven't heard about the complaints on the ones purchased at the Q. In fact, the last time I saw a presentation they stressed how Vitamix stands behind the machine forever.

Momcat, to see the different models, go to the VM website. On their web site you will see reviews from QVC folks & some are not good. I liked buying strait from the company instead of through a middle man.

For me, the appeal of the TSV would be the easy pays. If it is the 7500 the product page says it comes with a 7 year warranty. I am disappointed it doesn't come in the turquoise color though Smiley Sad
