I use my Vitamix to grind popcorn kernels into cornmeal. Makes great cornbread.

I wouldn't use one just due to the NOISE it makes when using.
On air they either cover them or take the mikes away from them.
My regular blender I've had for umpteen years works great for anything I need.
My opinion,....save your money for something else. ![]()

@Kachina624 I understand where you're coming from. I do cook often for a larger crowd but most often it's just my husband and I. As for the almond flour, I only make what I need for a recipe so it's cheaper than buying a bag of flour that I won't use.
And yes, nuts are higher in calories. But like avocados, they are very good for you. See all the benefits below. Our doctor said to eat a small amount of nut butter as a nighttime snack. Not only is it healthy but helps with sleeping. In addition, eating nut butter with a slice of whole grain bread is a complete protein.
You may want to research nuts as there are so many benefits.

I had a VITAMIX and now I have a CUISINART
I will take my Cuisinart anyway, not to mention the price.

@cjm61 I don't use mine as much as I should but I needed a bit of inspiration that your post gave me! What a great idea making your own almond four! I don't have the dry canister but I'm going to do a bit of research on it.
As far as the noise levels, yes it's a bit loud but you're only using it for a few minutes at a time....much less time than my hair dryer which is probably just as loud.

I have to agree with this poster

I wish I could the person who has theirs in a box, the one who wants to give it away, etc somewhere was near me i would take it off the hands gladly.
I bought one somewhere around 2017, it was comandeered by an ex roommmate. I have used other blenders the last coupld of years, and was actually here today to look to see if there was one on easy pay.
I too started out for just smoothies, but then did so much more. Someone mentioned flour, almond, rice..
Nut butters, soups.
The soup making was life changing for me when I went from vegetarian to vegan and increasing my raw food intake. taking the veg tossing it int he vitamix, truning it on and letting it run was awesome.
In general the textures needed for no matter wht I was making are so much more better to me. I have had anywhere from hamilton beach to cuisinart and honestly call it spoiled, but the vitamix was the best. Is the best IMHO. I started out occasional and quickly went to 3-4 times a week t everyday for some thing. Now if i need to blend i , just did it involuntarily, roll my eyes and say i wish i had my vitamix.
