I know the Vitamix is been there, done that on QVC, but I've never owned one. I'm considering buying one today. Are they worth it? Honestly, I have a Nutribullet that I use for occasional smoothies, but I'm wondering if I might use the Vitamix more if I owned one.

They should call it whoever in the kitchen. Because David is there once in awhile! I think I would love to have a job like that!!!!

@Logans NaNa I'm pretty sure his mom is in the hospital and he is there to be with her. Honestly, I only watch the show when he is not there.

David's mother is in the hospital and he is with her there...
MUCH more important than selling the 10000th iteration of Temptations crackware or the 500th "sale" of Vitamix blenders...

We have a Vitamix...
I ordered it back around 2017...about a year before DH and I changed our lifestyle in 2018. So for about a year we used it once in awhile, but not as often as I thought we would have. I wish I knew this ahead of time because I would have never ordered it back then considering the cost.
The same goes for our Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Both of the appliances I'm finally considering dropping off to charity before the end of the year...too heavy and a pain to sell/box up/ship on Ebay.
Currently the appliances are in our basement in boxes...UGH.

@Linda0215. I haven't used mine in over a year. I wish I had my money back. I have other blenders that do what I need just fine.

I don't know how loud the Nutribullet is, but I do know Vitamix is very loud. I got rid of mine & replaced it with a blender that has a sound reducing cover. I already have some age related hearing loss. Vitamix works good but so does the mixer with the sound reducing cover.

Okay, thank you for answering. I sort of had the feeling that it might be an impulse buy. In my head I'm imagining smoothies, and ice cream, and hot soups and such. But i also know myself. LOL!

@Linda0215 Because so many posted more negative reviews I feel I must give you mine.
I just posted on another comment on the vitamix. If you are only making smoothies, then what you have is just fine. I do have the nutribullet but I also own 2 Vitamixes.
My favorite is making nut butter. I use just about every nut I can find then add a little bit of a honey roasted nut to sweeten it just a bit. My family loves it, asks for it every year and is disappointed if I do not gift it. The nutribullet, as well as any other blender, cannot do it.
I almost forgot, the dry canister. I make almond flour and mac nut flour. My other blenders cannot.
Yes, it's noisy, big deal. I am grinding nuts so expect it. I can deal with a little noise, I have young grandkids so know what noise is.
I also make hot soups. Yummy, and again, no other does it like the vitamix.
All my kids wanted a Vitamix for Christmas one year..
Again, if only making smoothies and blending drinks, then the Vitamix is probably not for you.

OK I have a different story. I bought mine about a year ago and, no I don't use it that often. But I have started using it more now that I have to get my diet back in order. (heart surgery) I make smoothies for health reasons and have made soup very easily. The only thing is you need to buy the stuff that goes into each smoothie. But, if you buy that stuff you can make many smoothies afterward because almost everything is a frozen product. If you make soup you can buy the ingredients and make it the next day. I have a few of their cookbooks and they have many options. All-in-all it is a really good buy if you learn how to use it. The noise only lasts a couple minutes and that doesn't matter when you see what you get.
