The Additional App & Magazine Bundle question

just recently ordered the Kindle Fire 7" HD to upgrade from an old Vizio tablet. I'm the electronics person in the house and prefer, and very well versed in Android and Chrome. I'm extremely unimpressed by the Kindle Fire HD, no offense to anyone, but very costly as opposed to my smartphone, which I use more than I do my laptop. When I say costly, in terms of apps, games, watching CBS etc.

My question related to the additional App & Magazine Bundle, I'd like to know if these are a "trial version" for 30 days & then have to purchase them?
