I am looking forward to the Sunday 10/7 TSV - the new CE 5.3 quart air fryer.  I'm wondering if anyone knows whether they have fixed the problem with the non-stick finish coming off of the basket and the inside of the outer drawer.  I bought one last year, and at about the 90-day mark, the finish began chip and peel.  The warranty was only for 60 days.  I only washed it by hand, even though it was advertised as dishwasher safe, and only used non-stick utensils inside.  When I came back to read reviews for the one I bought, I saw an enormous number of people had that same issue.  I have to imagine that they would have fixed this before bringing it back (it was unavailable for quite a while) and I would repurchase if they did correct the problem.  I REALLY love cooking with the air fryer, but would be very disappointed to buy this again, and experience the same problem.  I know we'll hear the presentation in a few hours, but if anyone knows, I'd love the info.  I have seen a lot of people asking similar questions on the product page, but so far, no confirmation that the issue has been fixed.  THANKS!

Well the thing in your favor is time.  The extended return policy is in effect and you can return until Jan 31, 2018.

You always have the option of shopping at other retailers. I would not buy it again. I have no first hand knowledge about air fryers but there are many brands and prices available.

I love mine that I have and have never had an issue with chipping. I want this new/larger one and have been dropping several hints to DH for Christmas. If he doesn't bite...I will just order it myself.

Only trying to help the man out with ideas ya' know?

Luckily I have not had that problem with mine and I've had it over a year.

This now has a 1 year warranty on this air fryer. They have put silicone on the inside bottom so the drawer slides in easily and the button has been changed so it doesn’t release when you don’t want it to. It also has a small edge on the lower basket to let the air flow easier. I took a photo of the old basket and the new basket and the finish looks completely different in a better way. They haven’t said that it has improved but I believe it has. I am going to order the blue one. It also has an extended return to Jan. 31,2018. I never ordered the other large one like this after I saw the basket review. I hope this helps.

I love the one I purchased as a TSV some time ago.  I believe mine is a 3qt. Love the improvements, but mine is still going strong.  This will be the next one I purchase as I love the capacity.  I had no problems with chipping etc.  This is a great item.  Thinking about a gift purchase with this one.

I don't have an Air Fryer and was wondering for those of who do.  What do you cook in yours and do you really use it often?

@isaboo

I use mine quite often. I originally bought it so my teenage daughter could come home from work or school and make things for herself that were easy and quick. Still trying to get her cooking more, but I did send her one of these when she moved out in August.

I make a lot in mine:

Sausage and peppers

Cornish game hen

Chicken thighs or breasts. Either marinated, seasoned or breaded.

Potstickers

Roasted veggies of all kinds

Burgers

Any type of fresh fish

Fried shrimp

Fries of course

Roasted potatoes

I made a Cornish hen in mine a couple of days ago and it was fantastic! I forgot to add above what I did.

I cut out the spine and seasoned it with a butter herb seasoning I bought at Costco (good stuff) and when it was just about done I brushed it with some warmed up pineapple/ apricot jam. Apple jelly is good too.

It it was a small hen, 24oz and it took about 12 minutes.
