Re: Susan Graver TSV for July 1

[ Edited ]

Liquid knit is not the cheap polyester from the 1970's at all.  I'm a boomer and grew up when polyester was first used in clothing.  Liquid knit is not that stuff.  I live in Florida and wear it all the time and, no, it's not any hotter to wear than cotton.

That said, the TSV is not making my heart go pitty-pat.  Don't like the prints at all and don't need any solid color tops.  I also prefer an a-line top for my figure type.  I thought she would do a fancy embroidered jacket or blazer rather than a set of two ho-hum tops.  I hate to say it but the TSV print top and matching print pants combo sort of look like pajamas.

Maybe it is me, but when I see a matching top and bottom, I think pajamas. I am not attracted to any of these prints.

@Tuffcookie  I like when the top & bottom are solid, because I can get creative with accessories (bolder jewelry, funky shoes, etc.).  But I agree with you 100% about top & bottoms in a print design.  I guess that's why I don't like maxi dresses in dense prints either.

Also, the TSV prints do nothing for me.

I guess liquid knit sells for her, but she needs to move on from polyester.  This material and her prints  are so dated.

They say the retail price is $92 for Susan graver special value. I think that is very exaggerated. Not a fan of sg any more

Thrilled I'm not. Her styles are a bit matronly. I could see wearing these tops for everyday casual purposes, but that wouldn't work either. Liquid knit equals hot flashes. Sometimes I feel cold & clammy in liquid knit. Other times I roasting. I never feel quite comfortable in them.

I'm with @just wonder. I would prefer a swing top, v-neck, 3/4 sleeves. I don't like these TSVs with 2 different styles. Invariably I will only like one and not the other. This is why I passed on the Anybody joggers/pants TSV. I really like Anybody, but only wanted half of their combo. I will still check it out tonight. The pink v-neck print looks nice. Depends on how its partner looks. This is her 35th anniversary day, might have some interesting vintage clips.

I agree; rarely buy combos. The,prints are nice on this one, but don't want the solid one.

One word to say about this tsv and that's BORING and repetitive. Not a fan of the twofers. They are not a good deal unless you want or need both.
I know liquid knit doesn't wrinkle and travels well but I have never been a fan of how it feels on me. I have a few tops in liquid knit but find I rarely choose them to wear.

Yawn, many stores (kohl's, Macys, etc) have polyester pieces at comparable quality and better prices plus coupon savings are readily offered. So stale & sad that this is considered fantastic for 35 years.
