Please correct me if I am wrong.  It looks like there is a Stan Herman TSV on April 24.  A 30th anniversary.  I am excited about that!

@PhilaLady1   He's 93 now and such a sweet man.  I'll try to watch. Thanks.

I love his robes, just wish he still had the chenille full zip.

He has a design team for his name. Doubt he's doing much at 93.

But we don't know how much he does do now, do we.  Just because he's 93 doesn't mean he can't contribute.  I remember a former president who was still building for Habitat for Humanity in his 90's.

@bells4me  True, but it's not really age related.

The Stan Herman design team is the same team that designs for Carole Hochman for QVC.  Stan himself let that slip years ago.

Stan probably "designs" like Isaac designs now -- oversees and gives his approval or suggested tweaks to what the team prepares.

If you look up the company "Komar Brands" online, you'll see at least 100 sleepwear brands that the corporate design team handles. Some of the sleepwear brands Komar owns outright.  Some of them they have a license to design.  They include Carole Hochman, Stan Herman, Cuddle Duds, Halston, lots of others.

There are very few brands that stand alone these days.  You can probably count on two hands the corporations that handle a few hundred of the most popular brands today.  Conglomerates gobble them up to add to their portfolio.

Re: Stan Herman TSV April 24?

I love Stan, and look forward to the shows as well.  I remember buying a couple of his short robes for my Mom when she was in the hospital 25 years ago.  They really brightened her spirits -- pretty colors, etc.  And, I wrote to Stan after she passed to let him know how pleased we were with his robes.  He wrote back and was very kind.

Not sure if I will order any of his items on Sunday, but I may well do so.  Just FYI -- I ordered his caftan A392408 that happens to be a Lunchtime special today, and it was too large on me.  Fortunately, I managed to exchange the small (my usual size) for extra small, and it fits much better.  I don't ordinarily wear caftans, but thought this one would be nice to wear around the house during our very hot summer months in Arizona.
