I have are three cats, and I use the crystal litter. Wonder if this would be great for that?
@JessicaJL, I have had the TSV vac for several months. Yes, the dust cup is small. I empty it after completing each room. I don't find that to be a bother, though, as it is easy to do.
I use clay litter. The hard floor brush picks it easily. It does a better job on scattered litter than any other vac I've owned. I have not used it with crystal litter, though.

Thank you for the replies.
Does the cup on this or the Dyson V6 have more capacity? My mom tried the V6, but sent it back due to the short battery life and small cup. This of course isn't cordless so that first problem isn't a concern.

@nomless How does the clay litter work? I recently considered it, but the bag read non-clumping. How does this work with urine? I have cats and can totally associate no being able to pick up the litter no matter how much you vac or sweep. The litter dust is over everything. Thanks for your advice!

@JessicaJL If your mom is like mine or older like my grandma, 79, a small sweeper like this is ideal for them to handle no matter how small the cup. Granny has the Shark Floor Sweeper, but it doesn't really do cleaning of carpets but just top sweeping. Instead of dragging out the full sized Dyson, a vac much lighter than the Kirby she did have, she can just sweep the vinyl floors and the carpets with this. She broke the ball of her hip several years ago, and realized clogs/mule shoes were not what she needed, nor throw rugs (because they will throw you to the ground) nor that darned Kirby her second husband wanted so bad. This vac is perfect for her or anyone. Even the kids can use it because of the adjustable handle. My 4 year old niece uses the Shark sweeper with one section of the handle removed. She and her brother have been doing this since they were about 3 to help mommy. This vac will be no different, but my sis has laminate floors now, and sometimes fine dust is left. This is just the treat to get that up!

@JessicaJL, I use Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal litter. It has very little dust...much less than most. It is a clumping litter. My cats do scatter it, bit the TSV vac picks it up very well.

Everyone talks about cats but what about dog hair? I have 2 golden retrievers!

It's just as great for dog hair.

I did order this due to value pays, and the good reviews on Amazon etc. I needed a new one, as i have a cheap Walmart special for a while and now all it does is blow out dust, like a dust storm & picks up very little. The only thing i hate is QVC sent it out Fex Ex Sure post, now i have to hunt down the mail man, before he leave's it at someone elses house, hopefully he retires soon.
