Re: Rastelli's Filet Mignon TSV 10/26/25

So it is $15 per steak, so $30 for 2--duhWoman Tongue!!--yah a little too rich for my budget. altho--in the real world, that's a drop in the bucket for a filet meal. But will pass. My fave steak is top srloin anyway.

I love filet mignon.  As far as the price, it is a good one.  Go to a steak house and see  what  you would pay. These look delicious.

To compare pricing to a steakhouse isn't really the same as what you are getting here. These are not prepared by chefs and served with sides. Also, no one is serving you with the TSV. There is quite a difference in my opinion.

Re: Rastelli's Filet Mignon TSV 10/26/25

We've gotten these before and they get the thumbs up every time.

I'm sure some buyers have gotten less than perfect cuts and I'm also sure some are preparing them all wrong.

There is a certain way to get the best results when cooking meats.  Like baking, it really is a science.  An easy science project, if you ask me...

I get the 'prepared by a chef in a steakhouse setting' comparison by some.

Just because there's white linen napkins doesn't mean a clean 'kitchen' around the corner.

I'd rather prepare these in my own kitchen....

You can apply the TISTHESAVINGS coupon code and get at least 20% off (25% off w/Q card).  So for me, it takes it down to $128 an order.

That said, 2 orders for us.  We'll have it for dinner Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Everyone will be turkied out by then....

I think they are a great gift to give for those who enjoy them and really have all they need in terms of gifts.  My 3 are on board with that...Woman Wink

@wagirl You don't price meat by the steak or burger, etc.  You price meat by the pound; these steaks are $51per pound.

When you go to many a finer restaurant or steakhouse and order a filet, usually upwards of $50, you get the filet with a garnish on the plate. No side dishes, those are all additional.

This price is better than some comparable mail order companies.

I see it as a nice gift to send to that person who has everything and doesn't need anything.

I gave up red meat many years ago and that includes pork, too. I don't miss it at all.

@Cats3000 --I KNOW THAT!!!!

But 10 steaks for 2 people equals $16 per steak or $32 per meal!!! That's 5 meals--- each oz is $3.20---I figure cost  for 2 meals as that is what I cook for. I also rounded the price up to $160--so what's your beef???
