$51.00/pound?  I'll pass.  I can get Flat Iron Steaks which are almost as tender for far less.

Are these considered, Prime, Choice or select??
‘Reserve’ means nothing.

For my budget, that's a lot to pay for a tad over 3 lbs. of anything.

Re: Rastelli's Filet Mignon TSV 10/26/25

surely not for the masses

As of late 2025, 45-day dry-aged Black Angus filet mignon costs approximately $43 to $86 per pound from online retailers, depending on the supplier. A whole beef tenderloin roast that is dry-aged for 45 days can cost hundreds of dollars.
The price of a 45-day aged Black Angus mignon is impacted by two key factors: the cut and the aging method.
  • Filet mignon vs. tenderloin: The filet mignon is a steak cut from the beef tenderloin. While some specialty butchers and online stores sell the individual steaks, others offer the entire tenderloin roast.
  • Aging method: "45-day aged" most commonly refers to dry-aged beef, a process where meat is aged in a controlled environment to concentrate flavor and tenderize the muscle. Some retailers offer wet-aged beef, which is a less expensive process of aging meat in a vacuum-sealed bag. For example, some wet-aged, 45-day Black Angus filet mignons are available for a lower price point than dry-aged options.

@Pekoecat They never specify.  I assume Choice unless it's labeled otherwise.

I would never buy meat online there are too many things that could go wrong. I do not think I have ever bought a food product from QVC is the over 30 years I am shopping with them

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

Me neither and never will.  Half the price goes for the "free shipping"

I have the filet mignon on auto delivery and will continue with them.  Unless you have tasted them, you don't know how good they are.  They are so easy to prepare, the portion is perfect, and so much better than local grocery store beef.

I am delighted to have another year of these delicious filet mignon!! ❤

@Pekoecat

THIS.

I looked up that term a long time ago and discovered the same thing.

It's right up there with "clean beauty" which is also a made up term!

I ordered some kind of "reserve" rib eyes from them once....I think they were reserved from the Y2K era.

And...to ME.....aging meat 45 days  to make it "tender" sounds like...."controlled decomposition".

No thanks.

And on another point....I feel sorry for all those "special cows" that got the bolt for the TSV. I wonder how the slaugherhouse knows WHICH ones are Rastelli's special cows.....do they have a QR code on thier foreheads?
