These are much cuter than a regular athletic shoe.  I like the fact that the insole is removable so I can put orthotics in.  I think the strap will be easy for those with arthritis.

@toria,

The strap is not elastic. Also, if you have a low arch, then the strap might be too long for your foot...at least for me it was. For me this shoe ran wider than usual. My foot is size 6.5-wide and I ordered a 7-wide in this shoe. I had to return it because the shoe is too long, too wide and the strap is so long that it extends beyond where the velcro ends.

I have about 6 pair of Rykas and love the all. All of the styles I've purchased are an athletic lace-up shoe so I've never tried a Mary Jane style from them. I am a 8 medium & I find the lace-up style as true-to-size on me. I think they wear very well & I've never had a problem with them. Purchased 5 from QVC & 1 from a brick & mortar store.

I'm thinking of trying these.  I don't own anything from the Ryka brand, but I do like a wider toe box which is something they talk about a lot.  I don't wear athletic shoes or sneakers very often, but I do love mary janes.  I wear either 6.5M or 7M in Clarks.

Anyone order these early who could comment on sizing?

Thank you!!

@10000Nicknames,

I would suggest ordering your true size. Also, if you have a low arch then the strap might be too long. I had to send mine back for a couple of reasons...one, the shoe was too big all around because I went up a half size and should not have. Secondly, I felt that this shoe was wider than most of my wide-width shoes. My foot is size 6-1/2 wide. I ordered the 7 wide and it was too wide and too long. My foot is flat with a low arch so the strap was so long that I couldn't attach it to shoe where it needed to go. Cute shoe, but the fit was off for me.

Thanks, @SilleeMee.  I think I will order my normal 6.5M in that pretty pink/grey color.  I have no idea whether I have a low, high or medium arch, but I guess I'll find out!

I received these this week in the coral.  I really like them.  In a dress shoe from Clark's I wear an 8 1/2 medium.  In Ryka's I wear socks in the cooler months and  without shocks in the summer, of course.  A 9 works for me all year round because I like a little more give in the summer if my feet get hot, etc.  I have several pair of Ryka and the support and comfort is great.  I have not had any problem with sizes varying; a style of shoe may be built to give a different feel.  I have had one pair of Ryka's that was a little more built up and wasn't quite as comfortable, but I still felt they were more comfortable that other shoes I had tried before coming to Ryka.  This pair is especially cute.

     @SilleeMee,

     I do wish I could help you with 'this' particular shoe in Ryka, but only can give you my own experience when I purchased 1 pair of Ryka 15 years ago. I paid about $90.00, did order in my width and correct size but never could wear those no matter how long I tried to _get use to_  out of the box. I did give away to the salvation Army. Really did give fairness ..trying..over 6 weeks+.

 The (??FIT??) then, was too cumbersome on the inner area of my feet, the weight was much too heavy for a slip on; these may be much better, hearing that they are so light.

I believe I know the measuring is from "C". `That would be my hesitation.

The only shoe that I can wear, out of the box, (as far as I know) is the Birkenstock. I bought about 15 pairs of different styles, different colors -all leathers and suedes; those were so sought after years ago before they disappeared / TV shopping.

The Birkis that I spoke about were actually German made and I have never gone back to anything else -except boots (seasonable) and a SAS, a New Balance that I went in and had fitted. [ For extreme walking or hiking.]

 These are very cute and can understand why the excitement of the springtime look. Hope that you find   everything that you want in this shoe, if buying.

HTH some.The toe bed appears to be one of the best features.

I just noticed that when they were available during pre-order, they were on easy pay; now they are not. I'm going to wait until later today or tonight to see if they do a flash easy pay event.  I hate to order something from a brand I haven't tried before when it's not on easy pay. Easier on the wallet if I have to return.

These shoes look adorable in the display, but I'm looking at them on the  models' feet, and they look like boats. Even though the strap could supposedly cinch them snugger, at least one model shows both the shoe and the strap gapping quite a bit. Perhaps they didn't want to have the strap cinched so much that the end of it is near the sole, or maybe they didn't make the Velcro long enough to make that possible. They also don't look as if they have much support, but then I'm comparing them to my SAS shoes.

I didn't even have to talk myself out of these, thank goodness.

I usually order up in Ryka sneakers, but these fit me best in my regular size.  Also, with these shoes, I don't have to leave extra room for socks.  I also found these more supportive than other shoes of this style I've tried in the past.   I liked my preorder enough to order another pair today.
