I have loved Philosphy the entire time they have been on QVC.  But----I cannt listen through their programs now due to their current "ambassador".  I loved Mary Anne Meier and the other 2 gals that shared educatiing us on their products.  I could always learn somehting.  Their enthusiasm - and knowledge made their presentaions fabulous.  And I always ended up purchasing products I didn't know I needed!  This was a bad change for philosophy.

It’s funny You mentioned their shower gels not lasting, because of my recent experience with the Philosophy Hula Girl shower gel.


I bought it after Justin S raved about it saying it was his FAVORITE Philosophy scent ever and how much he ❤️’d it ! !


As soon as I received my duo of it I smelled it and didn’t really like the scent. I said, Oh well.. I’ll keep the duo and put one in our shower.


I actually didn’t mind the scent when I first showered with it, BUT

what REALLY SURPRISED ME THE MOST

was when I came back into the bathroom later that day how Wonderful the entire room smelled !! ❤️


At first I didn’t realize it was the Hula Girl shower gel. It took me a while to figure it out and when I did

I’m HOOKED on that fragrance and can definitely see why that day on air Justin made such a BIG Deal of it !! 😂

I really like Cabana Girl; It has been in the outdoor shower at the beach house and smells heavenly!  All the girls love it.

If you first purchased when Cristina Carlino owned the company, that was when Amazing Grace was amazing.  When the company sold, it changed and the scent no longer lasted or smelled exactly the same.  It still smells like AG but has an added "chemical" or manufactured  smell to it.  Not the same.

I've boycotted Philosphy since the big layoffs. Now I see they're introducing new guests. What was the point?

I discovered Philosophy when it was first introduced. The original bakery and tropical scents were amazing! Scents come and go, and some are great, some or not, just like any brand. I still love Senorita Margarita, Lemon Custard, Vanilla Coconut, Orange Pineapple, Eggnog, and Caramel Drizzle, and even have a Tangerine Lime Ice Cream in my closet, which I use every summer!

I got the TSV in Sea of Love, I've been using that scent for many years. It smells just as incredible and hasn't changed or degraded in quality or scent. I love the way my bathroom smells the rest of the day, and how fresh my clothes smell when I sort the laundry.

Last week, my doctor asked what I was wearing since she thought it was such a lovely scent, and my appointment was almost 8 hours after I used my Sea of Love shower gel, lotion and spray fragrance!

Interestingly, I almost didn't buy Sea of Love at all, years ago, because of the lack of a meaningful description of the scent.

I really wish they would describe the actual notes that make up each scent, and not use statements such as, "it makes you feel like you are at the beach" or "it's like a vacation on a tropical island".

Having said that, I am not great at describing Sea of Love, but I don't think it smells like Pure Grace. Funny thing, I am not a fan of Pure Grace, but actually liked Pure Grace Endless Summer when it was still available! Also liked Living Grace, Summer Grace and Eternal Grace.

I often wondered what you suggested...please let us know if you detect any difference.  Years ago, Amazing Grace was truly amazing. I kid you not, I ALWAYS was told how good I smelled or asked what was I wearing.  Not now.  I am curious to see if the website products are different from QVC.

@bargainsgirl - I still haven't pulled the trigger.  I'm sure I wouldn't remember the scents well enough to compare after all this time. I've checked out the AG EDP on both QVC and the Philosophy sites and there are some small discrepancies.   I'm not educated enough to know if/howthey would affect the scent or longevity.

Someone posted, either up thread here or in the Beauty forum thread, about the Christmas sets needing to be discounted due to age and seasonal containers.   As an FYI, there's a Supersize Layering Trio priced at $73.98.  In the text, it references celebrating 25 years.  Umm, that was 5 years ago.  The Philosophy brand was founded in 1996.  This year is their 30th anniversary.  I think buying from the website lends itself to fresher products, wouldn't you?  How long has The Q been sitting on inventory?

Every time I listened to what Courtney K said was her Absolute favorite and I purchased it, I was so disappointed.
She mentioned at Midnight that she loves Sea of Love, so I automatically ruled that one out ! 😂
