Re: Masterbuilt Q & A Chat - November 2nd

Hi @TonyTampa

Thanks for your question!

We do not notice a taste difference between those oils.  You can salt and pepper the turkey, or use your favorite poulty seasoning.

Enjoy!

Hello,

If you use canola oil instead of peanut oil, does this change the flavor of the turkey?  Also is it recommended that you salt and pepper the turkey before you fry it?

I have seen the extra rack, turkey injector, and safety gloves.  Could you explain the various uses for the extra rack

HI @Rlh thanks for tuning in and for the question. The rack is great for steaks, cornish game hens, really anything you would like to hold in place while frying. The injector is what John McLemore is using to inject the marinade into the turkeys and the carve and serve gloves are a must have. The gloves protect your hands from steam and hot oil while cooking and from the heat of the food while carving.

How long does it take to heat the oil? And the person on tv said it had a 13 yr warranty but it says 90 days on the web site

HI @Oiddio, The oil only takes about 30 minutes to reach 375 degrees to fry a turkey. We like to use canned biscuit dough to fry some donuts during those 30 minutes that the oil is heating - yum!

The warranty is 90 days.
