@Winkk  I think that is a decent price for Luminara.  They have luminara candles on-line from Kohls, which with discounts comes to about the same price, but they don't have the special features of the new remote.

I have lots of Luminara candles, and have paid more then what the TSV is.

I'm tempted since I would be interested in the Ivory, but would also like to have an option of purchasing different sizes without having to buy 4 of each size.

I think the red would be very nice for the holidays, but I am more of a "beige" kind of decorator and keep them up throughout the house year round, so ivory is a better choice for me.

@brandiwine

I bought a set of 5 luminara style w/timers all different heights & came with flicker technology and Duracell batteries for $20 at Costco last year.

I've been using this set for almost a year & still working!  (I went back and bought a 2nd set "just in case").

Also, yes they are suppose to be a better price on TSV yet BB&B has them and you can use 20% or $10 off $30 (whatever works better).  Hobby Lobby also has these candles -- they are included when they have 50% off all candles.

I think its a good price for actual Luminara brand candles.  Sure you can definitely find cheaper brands of flameless candles but to my eye they definitely look cheap and I have yet to find any that last longer than 2 months on a set of batteries unless you only turn them on occasionally.   I like the fact these will last 5 months (1000 hours) on one set of batteries using them on the 6 hour timer.  I also like that there are 5,6,8, and 10 hour timer modes for when it gets dark earlier. You might pay a little more up front but I will like not having to go out and buy new batteries all the time.   I have seen the Luminara candles at Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and BBB but they are different.  They only sell the scented flameless candles from Luminara and not all sizes.  I'm not interested in filling my home with artificial scents.  I will say I do wish the TSV's would always have free shipping.  With all the upgrades, I will be purchasing a set today.

I think the price is okay but not terrific. What concerns me more is the warranty is only 90 days. The timer and flicker flame either works all the time or quits after a few months. I'm not sure if the Christmas return polisy is in erffect for these or not. It looks like they have improved the remote but I prefer the standard timer setting. i think it depends on where you shop or what's available in your area. For me, it isn't budget friendly.

Reasons why this is NOT a good deal and why I won't be buying it:

*Their quality has declined

* I dont want to pay for a remote I dont need, have lots of them, and that just adds to the price.  (Let those purchasing as gift buy the remote as a separate purchase, most arent purchased as gifts)

*Why are they all the same height????? Does Luminara really think we would spend $100 per set to get the varying heights we want!!!--ROFL!!!---DREAM ON!!!

*As others have said---you can find Luminara at Bed, Bath,& Beyond and use coupons, or a Hobby Lobby REAL SALE!!!

*Easy pay is NOT a reduction in price!!!  At least give free shipping!!!

I am not on that frequently, especially viewing 'any' TSV, but being home the last (3) days, I have viewed these Q specials, and each one is not an " EXTREME value", nor for the yesterday's 1/2 hoodie coat was ; a questionable marketing strategy, I suppose. BUY A FULL LENGTH ROBE IF THAT COLD; I wouldnot wear as any outdoor coat, rather wear a coat ofmy choosing. Maybe the specials have always been this ( suppose to be alluring?products) that I personally know better.
I have many remote lights that are NOT Luminara, my price was 1/3rd $$$s that I paid this price vs what they are offering. The host said with an enthusiastic louder than usual voice, 'This is not a good vale, but an extreme value'. What a slow into into a high pressure sale. No, I do not want these rather have mine. And! Those have been for several years that do a very excellent lighting! I DO NOT WANT MORE REMOTES FOR ANYTHING, RATHER A SWITCH, and this would not be for me, be a gifting, so do not need the fancy boxes that I am paying for. I have beautiful paper for gift wrapping, if necessary. BUT! that's my opinion! for those that want to pay over $100.00 plus tax, (4) candles, NO! I hope they are the dreamy product you have always wanted. Good luck!

Do you think this is a good price?  I haven't really shopped for flameless candles but for the 5" it comes to $20 each.  That seems high to me.  Or, is that the average price?

@Winkk  Depending on the size, the candles in the TSV average $20 or so each, which for a Luminara is a good deal, I believe.

I bought the red as it was mentioned they are a true Christmas red, if they are not, back they go, in each size for my mantle, mainly, and some for elsewhere.  I have the Luminara orange from last year going now, and they are beautiful.

For the Luminara brand, the price is good, but not great.  I wish they would sell them in sets of 2 (not 4) so you could afford to buy all three sizes.  I bought the 5" in white, the 5" in grey and a set of the 7" in grey.  I plan to gift some of them to my mom and sister.  That's the only way I can justify the cost (sort of).  The total cost of my purchase is $281 with tax and shipping.  $281.00!!  I would like to get the 9" set, but I'm in no position to spend just under $400 on candles, I don't care how many easy pays the offer.

Aside from boring plain wax and boring colors, this is the main problem. To really make a nice look with three sizes, it is going to cost $300, and you are going to have maybe a bunch of repeats of sizes that you just don't want or need. Event to break up for gifting, in my opinion you need to buy all sizes, and just so expensive this way.

They really need to listen to us about a set with multiple sizes.
