You misunderstood my post.

The Social Team may have a way to get information on who and how to contact the company.

I didn't say they could 'do' anything, but they have the ability to delve much further into a situation than a regular CS rep.

It takes 2 seconds to send them an email.

A company has to join the BBB at a possible significant cost.  This entitles them to use the BBB accreditation.

If they are not a member, there is no account to log anything on!  Complain all you want and it goes no where other than the BBB hounding the company to join.

@RespectLife  It would be to your advantage to do research before you respond. Henning Lee is on the BBB site and they have 3 complaints against the ice machine.

As far as tthe social team goes, they are good at what they accomplish. They are not here to do research on products that are not within their realm. If they did that, they would be too busy to help other customers. Sometimes, you need to do your own research and come up with solutions. There is information on the internet that is helpful. You just have to be tenacious.

I did try their chat.  It said the chat had started but no one from HL ever responded.

Thank you for the response.  I did try to go through their owners manual for a resolution.  I did a complete clean twice but the goop would return on the ice.  There is nothing in the manual to address the  horrendous noises it was making.  I did read that others were having issues woth the noise also.

Thanks.  Had not thought of that.  Just was totally amazed at their do nothing, no reply after I sent them an email detailing all the issues.

Yes, I did but it from QVC.  I am learning the "lay of the land" for this type of bad customer service.  Thank you!

Thank you.  I'll need to see if I can pull all the notes and dates together again and contact my CC comp to see if they could assist.

I have all the knowledge about the BBB I need to know since I have been working as an Office Mgr for 22 yrs.  My research is complete.

I never said the company was or was not a member. Quite frankly, it is a moot point.

What I said and stand by is that the BBB is nothing more than a source for us to complain to and has no authority whatsoever to make a company do anything.  Can they mediate?  Sure but that is about it.

Yes, this company absolutely should do right by their customers.....but all the BBB can do is give them a lousy rating UNLESS the company decides to help otherwise.

If they already have complaints against them, then Clearly the BBB can do nothing about it.

However, if it makes us feel like we did something, by all means file.
