Hello everyone. Iam new at this Forum thing so forgive me if I dont do it correctly.
I am writing to express my total disgust with Henning Lee in regards to a problem I had with the Ice maker purchased in 6/2024. I started having issues in May of 2025. Very loud noises at first that were bad enough kids in the house got scared when this happened at night. Problems escalated from there..... brown sludge on the ice, machine stopped making ice and the the list goes on. I attempted to contact HL cust svc by phone but just recd an auto ansewer that they were busy or with another customer and to please leave my number and someone would get back with me. Did not hear from them. This happened every time I called so I decided to try to respond via thier web site but never heard back. I sent several emails and eventually heard back from a rep in their cust svc dept. It seemed hopeful. She said I needed to advise them of all the issues and they would let me know if it could be repaired or replaced. That is the last I ever heard from them. I talked to someone in QVC customer service and asked for contact info for whomever was over the vendors but did not get any reply. This ice machine was too expensive to just throw iaway but at this point it's just a big piece of junk. Has anyone else had any similar situation with HL Cust Service? They say they pride themselves on their customer service! Thanks for letting me unload.
Wishing everyone a blessed Thanksgiving next week.

@Olemcdonald. Have you checked to see if they have a Facebook page? If so, I'd give a blistering review there and on Yelp. That is often effective.
I couldn5 find a Fac3book account but you should Google them for additional info. I did find this...

See if they have social media pages like Facebook and write your complaint there that may get their attention.

Have you tried their chat feature?
I don't see Facebook page, but they do have an Instagram site.
Have you tried doing a Google search for troubleshooting solutions? Is there something in the manual that addresses a problem?
They seem reputable, possibly just really short of customer service staff.

@Olemcdonald @If you are not getting a response from the information you have received or used, I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. I would send Henning Lee a email letting them know you have tried and tried to get a resolution on your Ice Maker but have hit a brick wall. If no further response, you will forward your complaint to BBB. This might be your only salvation
FYI, the CEO is Jeff Norling. Another avenue would be to send a certified letter/return receipt requested to 11800 Winnetka Ave N, Minneapolis, 55316, Minnesota to his attention. You have to continue to go up the ladder if you are getting no response. As they say: "the wheel that squeaks the loudest, gets the most grease". Wishing you a quick and equitable resolution.

Nice thought, but the BBB has no jurisdiction or authority over any company.
It will make me feel better but will probably not yield any results.
I'd go with the other suggestion of reaching as high up the Corp. ladder as you can.
Was this purchased from QVC? If so, I'd email the social team. They may have a better contact for you.
Your standard CS rep is not going to be able to help.
The social team are the gold standard of customer service.

I'd go through my credit card company even this much later. Amex is always great about things like this even a year past the purchase date. I've sent them copies of correspondence and phone calls dates and they pick up the fight for me. Definitely worth a try

@RespectLife I know the BBB has no authority but filing a complaint against the company may get a response. If not it is logged on their account and people do read their site when dealing with companies.
Also the social team will not be helpful because it is way past the return date. If she has a,warranty on the product, that would help. The social team is good but they aren't miracle workers.

You misunderstood my post.
The Social Team may have a way to get information on who and how to contact the company.
I didn't say they could 'do' anything, but they have the ability to delve much further into a situation than a regular CS rep.
It takes 2 seconds to send them an email.
A company has to join the BBB at a possible significant cost. This entitles them to use the BBB accreditation.
If they are not a member, there is no account to log anything on! Complain all you want and it goes no where other than the BBB hounding the company to join.
