Thank you for those who replied about the sleep tracker, I will check out both the apps you both suggested. It doesn't help that I have dogs that sometimes disturb my sleep but I can live with that lol again thank you!

Thank you for the very helpful comments about heart rate tracking. I want to see what the TSV is and maybe I'll try one.

I got mine from Target months ago. Kohls now has them BUT wouldn't let me use my 30% off - said manufacturer wouldn't let them discount. (I got 5% off using my RedCard) I love the different colored bands but asking too much on eBay and shipping on fitbit site stinks.

I have the Fit Bit Zip and I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to ""upgrade"" to the Flex. Is there enough difference between the two to make it worth the money?

I have one of those and L O V E it! I have no desire for the band one. I wouldn't want to wear it.

The FitBit Force was recalled... I like the sleep tracker and silent alarm is great. You can easily add your activities that don't get picked up from the movement.

Thanks Sooner. I'll just stick with my Zip. I'm not really interested in the sleep information. I was just wondering about the ""floors"" part because I climb so many stairs daily. Anyhow it sounds like it isn't very accurate anyway.

I'm really very pleased with my Zip.

I received a Fit Bit One for Mother's Day and started walking the Monday after. It will be four weeks of walking everyday for me this Monday. I wear one clipped inside the top of my bra.I lobe this thing! I will be 62 on June 11 and, having retired a year ago, I thought I needed to motivate myself to move more and not be so sedentary. My minimum goal from day one was 10,000 steps a day. I never have done the 10,000 because I found myself exceeding that. The first two weeks, I averaged somewhere in the neighborhood of 14,500 steps a day. The third week was around 15,500 a day. When I began this, my fourth week, I took a whole day off and read, watched tv...lazy day. Yesterday I walked 9.51 miles (over 22,000 steps) to make up for that lazy day. I try now for 5-6 miles a day. I am not dieting yet, but plan to very soon. I find the Fit Bit addicting and I love it. I do wish that it measured heartbeat, blood pressure, etc...maybe someday.

Anyway, I personally prefer the Fit Bit One because no one knows I am wearing it AND I wear it all the time.

I have not used it for sleep habits because I do not care about that. Sorry I am of no help with that.

I do like sharing my steps with my daughters and my niece. It can be fun, friendly competition and motivating. It is for me. By the way...I am WAY ahead of them and they are, obviously, decades younger. Do not let age be an excuse. If you are able to walk, this is a great thing to get yourself and others and to help you to get moving.

Oh yea- I also set myself up for a minimum of 30 minutes of very active minutes a day and have decided to up it to one hour a day and for two days a week to 120 minutes of very active times. Easy to achieve if you are going for miles for me. I averaged 6.2 moles a day for the first two weeks and 6.4 the third week. My minimum is 5 miles a day. I wonder if I will los inches even if I Don't change my diet?

Has anyone used a FitBit and not changed their diet and lost weight/ inches?
